“What happened? How did I come home last night?” Kareena asked as she pressed her head which was aching very badly.

Muskan came near her bed and kept the soup on the table.

“Don’t you remember how wasted you were last night?”

"Huh" Kareena was oblivious to the happenings from last night. All she remembered was that she was drinking cup after cup Because of the encounter she had with Jay and Urvi trying to calm her by ordering more shots.

"Did I do something wrong?" With a guilty face she looked up to Muskan and asked her innocently.

"Something? You were too heavy for Urvi to handle so she had to call me from your phone." Muskan could not resist her cute little face, full of guilt.

“What? You went to the reunion? I’m sorry! I’m really sorry! I don’t know what happened to me that I went out of control. I’m really sorry you had to-” Kareena was silenced by Muskan as she was desperately asking forgiveness from her.

“Shhh! Not a single word. What are you apologizing for?”

"Why shouldn't I apologize? Because of me, you had to see those people. The memories you stayed away from for 10 years, you had to face them again because of me. And yesterday he also came. Did he see you? D-"

"Calm down, Kareena! Nothing happened to me, I am absolutely fine. I did not go inside the party but only went to the parking lot. There I did not meet anyone except Urvi. So come back from your guilt trip. And take this, drink the soup. Freshen up and come out.” 

Muskan explained to Kareena, very calmly and smoothly, her view. After pacifying him, she came out of the room and started remembering last night's story, leaning on the door.

Actually last night, she saw Jay from her car.The moment she saw him she was excited and the next moment she was reminded of all the hardships she had faced. Her mind was giving 2 different orders. One part was desperate to meet him and the other part was asking to go ahead without saying anything. She listened to her other side.  She went ahead without stopping. 

While returning home in a drunken state, Kareena told about her encounter with Jay, at the party. Before she could spit about their conversation, she blacked out.

To bring her back to reality, she got a call from her office.

"Ma’am, I know today you are on leave but it is very important for you to come today." A junior colleague of hers had called her and was panicking from her voice.

"What happened, Sanyuri? Relax and  tell me?"

"For our new project, the team with whom we have collabed, that team is coming today along with their boss. Their boss happened to come a few days before abroad and he wants to meet with us asap. Just got their call, they said they will reach here in half an hour. You please come here. Everyone is panicking."
