Tales of Walter

Tails N' Act : 1.1 Something to remember

Tails N' Act : 1.1 Something to remember

Sep 27, 2022

"I swear, I saw those suspicious people somewhere... where have they gone?" Bewildered, he dazed upon an empty block on the last place they were sighted. Walter stood for a few seconds and continue to walk through the street."  Meanwhile, when Mrs. Friedrich was on her break taking a cup of coffee near the window, she saw a weird formation on the clouds like it's covering something, barely saw by the naked eye of any ordinary people. It's big yet unidentifiable as she rubbed her eyes to look at it again more sincerely. Ought to think she must have been hallucinating, it may have been from his expatriating job that made her head see the unseeable.

She went back to her job, trying to divert her mind from what she saw. Back to Walter, upon crossing the street, he had to pass down through an alley. Deserted the alleyway was, most of the time for reasons per se: Houses were old as mainly adults, and seniors lived by; shops like antiques, clocks, fixers, and more for old stuff were known for their living. Yet the alleyway was not congested; despite those shops being open nearly twenty-four seven. Not many would pass by, and so it's often the locals he could see at the alley.

The pianist teacher lived amongst those parts, and the young man's talent is indeed amusing. In spite of that, his living is not going well as a pianist. Though his talent would be wasted, luckily The Friedrichs decided to get tutored by him; acknowledged as a helping hand for at least it can pay the bills and fees. The alley comparatively looked gloomy as the sun doesn't shine as much from the place. Only when it is in the afternoon; the streets of the alleyway would shine

.

The alley comparatively looked gloomy as the sun doesn't shine as much from the place. Only when it is in the afternoon; the streets of the alleyway would shine. As he walked, he saw an abandoned home to the left on the crossroads of the alley. It ought to seem more peculiar than any other structures amongst them. The more he looked sincerely through the stained window, the more it looked odd. Like something is inside, could it be?

*Something's off in this house. I could definitely feel it* he perceived, tilting his head while at it. As he got closer, planting his face through the window stain; All he saw were broken shelves, floors, and cardboard boxes inside. Nothing, just empty.  Baffled and intrigued Walter was, as he stood there. Then he went in front of the door and held the doorknob.

The abandoned home was a two-story high building; the main floor has a big bow squared patterned window on the right, and there were three upper floor windows, shaped in a geometric top single hung. The door looked like a two-panel, three-quarter lite, seemingly stained. Rundown as the building looked with the roof that has a big hole on its right.

As his left hand is about to open the door, a man in a preloved brown coat wearing a white messed collar, brown pants, belt, and black shoes that just got cleaned, suddenly holds his elbow.

In a throaty concerned voice, the man spoke, "Walter, Walter!" Young Walter was astounded as his body got tensed. Walter slowly turned as he said "sorry" repeatedly in a soft voice. The man cackled as he patted the young boy's head. "Ahh, you got me laughing, young Walter! You still don't remember how old this man is?"  Guffawed, the man was. Upon recognizing the voice, Walter looked up to see him, relieved after he saw Mr. Adler. "Mr. Adler! It's good to see you!" delighted Walter was.

"I was scared and thought someone was about to get me. Why didn't you tell me that you were here, Mr. Adler?" He asked in a silvery tone. Mr. Adler gently pushed him away from the abandoned home as he held Walter's wrist. He changed his expression, concerning Walter. "Oh Walter, you must not go inside someone's home, freely as you please." He said as they both walked on the alleyway. The alleyway was quite crowded by the locals, so they were quickly congested along their way.

"But it's abandoned; it looked like it was,” Walter said as he looked back at the abandoned home. Mr. Adler blinked his eyes twice, somewhat moved as he replied. "Silly you, despite it being abandoned. It is still dangerous for you to go in there." he paused, then spoke in an orotund voice as it softened at the end of his speech. "D.A.N.G.E.R.O.U.S. ...Alright?" Walter quickly nodded, and soon they reached Mr. Adler's home.

Mr. Alder's home was an old-fashioned three-stories high building, blue patterned bricks, a double-hung window on each upper floor, a four-panel door with glass with an arch on the top of the door, and a half-glass sidelight panel window on the left. His home was at the alleyway; squeezed in and between the two buildings. The neighbors on the left had a bakery on the main floor; the upper one is residential. On the right was a shop for clocks, mostly old-fashioned and antiques, seen through the main floor's window.

"We are here." Mr. Adler opened his door and let Walter walk in as he followed. Mr. Alder then puts off his coat on the coat rack, Walter then heads to the room where they practiced. The room looked vintage, but most of them were in need of maintenance. "Now, where did we left off?" Adler asked as he stood by the door.  "We were practicing the first movement of Moonlight Sonata Mr. Adler." He said enthusiastically. Adler then brought the music sheets for the first and second movements. He told Walter to play the first movement of the music if he can manage it without his intervention, as they were practicing it for over one and a half weeks. *Alright, like how we did. Keep it cool, Walter*. The young boy closed his eyes as he collected his thoughts. Walter then gave a faint sigh to relieve pressure and began playing the piano; not so long, Walter executed it amazingly. The tutor then clapped and praised him with such talent at his age. Not as surprised as before, but still, the tutor was astounded in a way. Walter smiled back as the lesson with Mr. Adler continued for two more hours.
