A knock at the door caused Castor to shoot up, he knew that knock.
He flashed a smile, only for it to drop to see it was just dinner on a tray, Nox having an apologetic look.
“Sorry I can’t invite you over to family dinner.”
Castor stood up, shrugging.
“So I take it I am eating alone tonight?”
The Moon Prince nodded, bit sad to say it.
“I am afraid so…” He flashed a smile. “But think of it this way, I’ll be able to get a room available for you that is much more accommodating. You’ll have windows and some free range…”
Nox placed the tray down on the table, as Castor looked over at it. He licked his lips as it looked good.
“What is this?” He could still see the heat rising off the soup.
“It’s something simple and easy, considering we had such a large lunch…” He blushed a bit. “Dani and I helped make it for you…”
Castor poked at Nox’s cheek, making the shorter man blush harder.
“Awe, how cute, brotherly bonding.” He wasn’t insulted or hurt when Nox slapped his hand away,
“I’ll be back later on tonight and let you know what my father says…” Nox let his shoulders drop a bit. “I hope I did good, but Dani helped a lot with the test tasting.”
Castor pulled out on the chair and took a seat.
“If you two cooked it, I am sure it’s good.” His ocean blue’s savored the food before him. “Thank you…”
Nox nodded his head, before turning away, only for a hand to grab his wrist softly.
“Castor? What’s wrong?”
Castor thought about Derek’s words, now understanding the gravity of the situation.
“I mean it….” He looked up at the Moon Prince, who carefully pulled his hand away. “Thank you.”
Nox was feeling a bit uncomfortable but pushed that feeling away.
“Have a good dinner, see you later on tonight…” He turned away again, this time making sure he wasn’t stopped.
Castor let out a sigh, before he started with his meal.
He hummed in pleasure at the first bite.
