Levi's POV:
Hello everyone; my name is Levi Gray. I am here to tell you about my story and how I fell in love. We are all gathered here to talk about my not-so-secret crush.
Let me tell you about myself. I am 18 years old with an eccentric personality. I wouldn't say I'm the easiest to deal with, but I think I'm a great catch. I'm 182cm tall, with black hair and black eyes. Very handsome… according to my mother, but I believe her. I always wear glasses to hide my face. I'm not too fond of the attention it brings, and I need to focus on my studies and graduate.
I was never interested in having a relationship. Relationships and falling in love seemed like too much of a hassle, and all I wanted was to get good grades and get into a good university, but…
As you may see in this story, the world works in sneaky ways to make sure you hate yourself as much as possible, makes life complicated and wrecks all the plans you had for yourself. My self-hatred showed itself in a 190cm handsome hunk with the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. Had I… Levi Everett Gray listened to my parents and went to school earlier instead of sleeping. I might not have been in this sticky situation. Okay, maybe it's not so bad. But I'm still going to complain about it. Sue me.
So yes, my self-hatred began with him, and it shall continue, but fear not, my friends. I am here to ensure you don't fall into the same dark, sad, lonely, depressing situation. In short, please listen to your parents to avoid awkward situations. They know what they're doing (sometimes).
So here is how it all began with one damn mistake (should I call it a mistake, though? Maybe fate? Or just my cursed luck? I'll let you be the judge of that).
Anyways… Let the chaos and the drama begin.
Flashback...
It was a sunny morning filled with possibilities. The faint chirping of birds… golden rays of sunshine… dewdrops over green grass… all signify a new beginning. That morning looked stunning. I had prepared my lunch and was so excited to eat it. I was in the best mood possible. Oblivious to what's about to be the best day of my life and the start of my broken little heart.
As I look out the window of the bus, I'm sitting where it all started admiring the view of the outside world, with my friend on our way to school, the same friend that put me in this situation today *cough* Jace *cough*.
"Hey, it was not my fault. I merely participated in the situation," said Jace, smirking. So, everyone, meet my best friend, Jace Alvin Adler. You will get to know him as time passes because there are no words to explain… him.
"Why, thank you, best friend", he muttered proudly.
"oh shush, first of all, I did not mean it as a compliment. Secondly, it's all your fault, and you know it. Now let me finish", I answered.
Where was I… oh yes.
It started with a- "Leeee, YOU'RE TOO SINGLE!" and continued with a- "LET JACE THE CUPID HELP! You are looking all crusty. Why not bling yourself up? You are very handsome".
Now, let me emphasise, DO NOT listen to your pink-haired friend.
"Says the one who looks like he was dipped upside down in cotton candy," I replied, all too angry to seem even mildly savage. "AT LEAST I HAVE A BOY-"
"If you don't shut up, I will smack you with my handbag." So screamed an old lady from the seat in front of us, interrupting my friend. "Jeez, why are old people so salty?" The old lady scoffed, throwing candy at his pink head.
"Leviiii, I got hit on the head. I might die. This is my dying wish, pick anyone, and I will make sure you fall in love from heaven." Jace said, gasping to make it seem more realistic, holding his chest, acting way too dramatic for the public liking, and having me agree from embarrassment, "Okay, okay, just stop. You are embarrassing yourself and me".
Next time protect pink-haired friends from old ladies. It saves you a lot of trouble. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't all that bad, but you see, I am very… dramatic, and in my eyes, it was that bad, which is why Jace and I work well together.
"Okay, now choose anyone on this bus".
"This bus, seriously?" I asked, giving Jace an anxious look. "Hey, we might as well start somewhere, right?" uttered my beloved torturer. "Fine", I sigh, looking around to find some random person suitable for my age. The bus ranged from 2 years old to200-years-old, and there was only one boy in between, so I picked him. When in doubt, go for the 200-year-old. "I pick him," I replied, pointing at my now not-so-secret crush. All it took was one scream from Jace consisting of "OH THE HANDSOME ONE WITH A PURPLE HAIR!" for the mentioned boy to turn around, knowing purple was not a typical hair colour, and all it took was one damned smile from the boy, that had my heart on its knees in a heartbeat (Ironic).
I may not be an expert on love, but I knew then that this man would be an essential part of my life.
"Yeah, you did. I mean, who wouldn't? He's so good-looking and sweet and amazing …."
"Jace, will you shut up, please I'm telling a story here", I screamed at my best friend, annoyed. "Calm down, and I'm just quoting what you said", replied Jace with a creepy smile. Sigh… maybe get better friends "heyyy," yelled Jace, offended. Yup, I definitely do.
