Somewhere you may know, yet you may not know at all, a sprawling city lay, its location beyond a threshold that many cannot comprehend. Never-ending yet navigable; the city of Monos, midday. Along one of the countless sidewalks, crowded with faceless passersby, a boy walked. His hair was ghostly blonde, and his t-shirt flapped a touch in the slight breeze. He wore a thin gold bracelet around each wrist, bouncing upon his arms as he trudged through the city. His destination was unknown, and he kept an unchanging blank gaze.
Behind the blonde, another walked, about 30 feet back. His hair was long, colored an ashen black, and draped over his left eye. He wore a grey blazer, with a white shirt poking out underneath, along with a similarly dreary fedora.
A deck of cards showed from his blazer's pocket as he walked. After a small journey, the blonde stranger reached a train station.
21st and Prismatic.
Unlike many of the other stations in Monos, the station was empty, and small. Not a soul aside from the one with the bracelets stood underneath the roof at the platform. For once, his gaze changed as the blonde boy slowly sweeped his head to check for trains on either track. his irises gradually faded halfway, leaving phantoms of the blue that was there. With a trepidatious yet swift step, he placed two feet firmly in the middle of the far side's tracks.
Reality isn't what it seems for the people of Monos. And a plot that will destroy the world as they know it isn't helping. Meet The Catalyst, The Spade, The Star, and The Moon.
