Ken stood silent, overwhelmed by shock and awe. They stepped forward, now side by side with Selene. The bent coin fell to the pavement, bouncing towards the pair. Ken burst out laughing, almost bringing themselves to tears. Ken spent a few moments to recollect. After a few moments, they picked up the coin and turned to Selene.

"How in the world did you figure this one out, Dorothy?" Ken said, grinning still. Dorothy looked back at the Starman, giving a slight scowl.

"You.. you don't understand what this means?" She asked, her voice concerned. Ken laughed again, with a bit less vigor.

"Yep! Wait...

...

No." Ken finally said, confidence fading as they continued. Dorothy sighed.

"I have reason to believe that Monos isn't what it appears to be." Ken walked over to the 'wall' where the coin had bounced, outstretching their hand towards it.

"This city is fake." She said in a low, monotone voice. Ken's humorous pretense fell as Dorothy said this. Ken's hand passed the invisible wall the coin had hit, as if nothing was there. Ken dropped their hand back to their side, looking down at it with intense confusion.

"People use this crosswalk every day, I haven't a clue why you think that would work." Dorothy said from behind Ken. Ken was still staring down at their hand. Their irises faded, the scarlet hue leaving near their irises' bottoms. A silver strand wormed its way from their chest down to the ground, and slithered up. The strand faded away where the wall was. Ken reached out once more, their thoughts clouded in a confident trance. Much to Dorothy's surprise, their hand dͩiͥs͛aͣрⷬрⷬeͤaͣrͬeͤdͩ, leaving only Ken's wrist visible.

"No..." Dorothy muttered. ᴋⷦeͤn'́s͛ hͪaͣndͩ feͤlᴛⷮ aͣn iͥnᴛⷮeͤns͛eͤ cͨoͦldͩ,̓ nuͧmͫвⷡiͥng aͣs͛ s͛oͦoͦn aͣs͛ ᴛⷮhͪeͤiͥrͬ hͪaͣndͩ faͣdͩeͤdͩ iͥnᴛⷮoͦ ᴛⷮhͪeͤ vͮoͦiͥdͩ вⷡeͤyoͦndͩ ᴛⷮhͪeͤ waͣll. They pulled their hand back as Ken left the trance, their red irises returning to normal.
