"Strings?" He asked, trying to appear confused. Tatsumi was still uncertain as to whether or not he was seeing things when he first noticed it. But, Tatsumi didn't know why Alister would mention 'strings', were there more? did he see wrong? Alister saw right through the blonde's partial guise.
"I didn't expect you to know exactly what I was talking about, Tatsumi..." Alister paused, looking up at him.
"You're not exactly a great liar." He continued.
"I- I thought I was seeing things.. I didn't know you could see it as well." Tatsumi said, looking at Alister's hand. After a moment, Tatsumi shifted his gaze downwards as he thought. It was then when he saw the quartet of the threads that slithered from his fingertips. If Tatsumi's blood was already cold, that sensation was now multiplied tenfold. Yet, fear didn't strike Tatsumi. it was curiosity and realization that chilled his veins.
"I see." Tatsumi quietly said, his eyes fixed upon his hand.
"Of course, I have no clue who we would even talk to about this.." Alister continued. Tatsumi looked up for a second, his eyes widening for a moment.
"Why don't we just follow your string?" He asked, pointing to the thread that snuck its way across the floor and out the motel. Alister's eyes followed the path his string took. He then gave a side-glance to Tatsumi, who had gone went quiet.
"A very simple solution, I like it." Alister affirmed. Tatsumi stood up, looking at his own strings.
"I would venture to argue that following my one string will be easier than your four, Tatsumi." Alister remarked, pulling a small section of his thread taut between his hands.
