I want to see you. You were the only person that made me feel like I can go on living through all this hardships. I don’t think I can take it any longer. Peter has been growing more and more violent these days. Yesterday, he forbade me from managing my boutique. And father is not siding with me in this. I can’t go on like this. I must run away. And I don’t feel comfortable leaving Lydia, with her father. Not after seeing his current temperament. 

You’ve said that you’d do any favour for me. And I know that this is a little too much to be asking as a favour. I don’t wish to burden you with this request. Please can you take care of Lydia. She’s awfully fond of you. And when I discussed with her the matters of the present, she suggested that she’d like to be with her uncle

 Again, I won’t hold a grudge if you refuse or love you any less than I already do. But please consider. I have none but you to turn to.
