Gohan stared at Vermont's back as they flew at breakneck speed through the universe. "I apologize for that but as a destroyer candidate your name cannot be tarnished because many will learn to fear you." Vermont said.

"Please remember your actions reflect that of the gods and if you allow mortals to have such brazen attitudes you will never be respected and as such you will not be able to remain a destroyer." Gohan didn't answer as he nodded.

"It is unfortunate that they do not welcome you but once you ascend to true godhood it won't matter what some mortals say as the earth will belong to you." Gohan chuckled.

"Is this your way of consoling me?" He asked as Vermont chuckled.

"I suppose." He said as the light disappeared and Gohan looked around in wonder. "We have arrived."

"This is mine?" He asked as Vermont nodded.

"It will be very soon, we leave for the Grand Zeno's palace in 24 hours for your ascension, you aren't very strong yet but you do meet the minimum requirement, just barely though." Vermont answered.

"I truly do wonder how powerful you will become if you could reached such strength with a measly age of 23." He chuckled as Gohan eyed him.

"You are actually excited aren't you?" He asked as Vermont smiled.

"Did I make it too obvious?" He asked as Gohan just chuckled.

"I think we'll get along just fine Vermont." Gohan commented as he nodded, he felt exactly the same and for some reason he felt like the universe was about to enter a new age.

"If you don't mind I'd actually love to sleep right now, I haven't slept yet." He said as Vermont nodded and led him to his new palace.

(It looks exactly the same as Beerus's world just like all destroyer worlds.)

"Your room is here my lord." He answered as he showed Gohan his room. "I will wake you an hour before we have to leave so enjoy your next 23 hours of sleep." He said as Gohan just walked into the room and collapsed on the bed, it was incredibly soft.

"I just might sleep that long on a bed like this." He answered as he passed out from mental fatigue due to his mental training.

The door closed as Vermont left him to sleep until he was awoken.

"Lord Gohan!" The voice called out as Gohan rolled around on the bed before muttering.

"Five more minutes mom…" He muttered as a chuckle woke him up.

"Right…" He said as he sat up drooling and in a daze. "You certainly enjoyed your sleep." Vermont quipped at him as Gohan slowly shook his head and looked down at the sheets of the bed.

"This bed feels amazing I don't think I have ever slept like that before…it could be that I am just really tired but still." He mused as he got up and followed Vermont who showed him the bathroom.

After ten minutes Gohan had cleaned up and was ready to leave with Vermont. "Are you ready my lord?" He asked as his staff blinked.

"Oh, seems those mortals found a way to contact me, ahh Nabu he is the one." He said as he looked at Gohan.

"Just tell them that they don't need to worry, everything is fine and the earth is not in danger but I won't be able to return as the assembly has banned me from earth." Gohan said with a sigh as Wonder woman flashed through his mind.

"Alright." Vermont answered. "Although it seems that those of that Justice League seem to be very upset about how the situation was handled, it seems at least they understand the gravity of their situation, if you weren't as benevolent that little blue orb would have been reduced to space dust already." Gohan just sighed.

"Well I do come from my own earth so I wouldn't want it destroyed." He said as they flew off.

"The flight will be thirty minutes." He informed as he a pad appeared in Gohan's hands. "Please entertain yourself while we fly."

Gohan just stared at the pad and nodded. "That is called a god pad, it has all sorts of information on the universe perhaps you can brush up on a destroyers duties." He said as Gohan nodded and read throughout the flight.

'Certainly a very good candidate.' Vermont thought to himself as he observed Gohan read diligently. 'Many candidates just brush it off, I chose well.'

They soon arrived at the Grand Zeno's palace and entered, the first thing Gohan saw was 17 Destroyers and 17 Angels watching them, he straightened his back and sized up the mountain of power he would have to surpass to travel between multiverses.

As soon as they reached the line of gods Vermont bowed and Gohan followed suit. "Welcome my son." The Grand Priest spoke as Vermont stopped bowing.

"How long has it been since I saw your face brother?" Another Angel asked as Vermont smiled at her.

"Too long." He finished as he turned to gestured at Gohan. "This is my personal recommendation." He stated as a destroyer smirked.

"Seems a bit weak don't you think?" He asked as everyone nodded as Vermont just chuckled.

"Perhaps but he is only 23 years old." He added as some nodded looking a little satisfied at the comment.

"Maybe, but still…I struggle to even recognize your training in him." Another Angel pointed out as he smiled. "That is the beauty of it brother." Vermont grinned. "I haven't trained him at all." As more satisfied nods passed.

"Regardless if Vermont sees potential and even went as far as to recommend him than I will not doubt him." Another Angel pointed out, all the Angels nodded because they all understood Vermont would not recommend just anyone just like how none of them would just recommend anyone.

"Soju is correct." The Grand Priest said as he stepped down and smiled at Gohan who was still bowing with his eyes closed only showing the utmost respect to the beings before him, he could feel they were far beyond anything he ever felt before, it reminded him of when Beerus punched him in the face but just a fraction of the destroyers true strength.

'If Beerus was holding back this much power than I have a lot of work to do.' He thought to himself as the Grand Priest spoke to him.

"Rise Son Gohan." As Gohan stood and looked at the Grand Priest as he eyed Gohan who stood upright.

"Unfortunately if he were to have the ritual done to him he would simply not survive, he does not even have god ki within him." A destroyer said with a shrug as the Grand Priest raised his hand.

"Bring forth your full strength Son Gohan, I wish to see the true depth of your power, Vermont preached your praises so I would like to see why, at least before you start your true training." The Grand Priest said as Gohan nodded.

Crouching he inhaled and exhaled as a flame ignited and his power went from nothing before the gods to quite a substantial amount of energy as fire radiated from him as the Grand Priest smiled.

"I can see why Vermont spoke so highly of you, to have no formal god training and to reach a summit of power like this, truly Son Gohan you have a bright future ahead you just barely managed to reach the minimum requirement to become a Destroyer." The Grand Priest also praised him as the Destroyers stared at him grinning.

"A worthy candidate from the beginning and only 23 years old…" Another destroyer nodded and grinned. "With this our sister multiverse will finally see the difference between us and them."

Gohan's power receded as he relaxed and bowed to them all. "I promise to live up to your expectations my lords!" He said as he gave a short bow again.

"And no haughtiness either…I like him!" Another destroyer chimed in as the Angels nodded.

"You are strong enough to survive the ritual, let us begin." The Grand Priest said as he flew to the head of the group as they made way for Gohan to step forward, he saw two pillows laid out in front of him.

"You appeared at the perfect time, the Kaiju tree as given us another golden fruit as such your coronation will begin." The Grand Priest said as Gohan walked up to the pillow and sat next to the golden fruit and closed his eyes and the Destroyers and Angels surrounded him.

All Gohan felt was power circulate around him until the Grand Priest spoke. "You may open your eyes, rise Destroyer." The Grand Priest spoke as Gohan opened his eyes a little confused, he didn't really feel different but the first thing he noticed was his attire, he was wearing Destroyer garb and someone was now next to him.

"Greetings I am Makaiya." The Supreme Kai spoke as he looked at Gohan and bowed. "From today on we are bound together." He said as Gohan gave him a short bow. "I am Son Gohan, looking forward to it." Gohan said before it dawned on him what the Kai said but he didn't voice his confusion out loud.

He looked down and he saw his pants was white and his top half was the exact same as all the other Destroyers except it was white, black and red with three symbols on his outfit, a triangle facing upwards another facing downward and the middle symbol was a circle with 32 edges, his arms had golden bracelets and he had a golden ring on his left ear and he was slightly slimmer as well.

"You are now the the God of Destruction for the 21st universe." The Grand Priest said as they all gave a short bow to him along with Vermont who just smiled.

"This meeting is adjourned." The Grand Priest said as he turned around and entered the palace as all the Destroyers just stood next to their angel before taking off.

All of it was happening kind of fast for Gohan but he just went with the flow, if he ever wanted a chance at seeing his family again in other world he would need to see this through, Makaiya stood next to Vermont and Gohan quickly made his way over as they flew away.

"Am I supposed to feel different?" Gohan asked as Vermont glanced at him.

"Search deep within yourself, something should be lurking within you now, training is usually done for many years until your vessel can withstand even a fraction of Energy of Destruction, however, you didn't need training as your vessel is already strong enough." Vermont said as Gohan nodded.

Gohan closed his eyes and low and behold there was a chaotic power dwelling within him now. "After this we will go over etiquette and how to conduct yourself, if I had needed to train you we would have gone over this already.

Gohan nodded and took out the god pad and continued reading which just seemed to please Vermont even more.

When they arrived Makaiya bowed to them both before saying his farewell and Kai-Kai'd to the sacred world of the Kais to be trained by the Grand Supreme Kai so that he can one day take his position and train the next Supreme Kai.

"Are you ready to begin your training my lord?" Vermont asked as Gohan nodded. "Good now come at me with everything you have." As Gohan transformed into a Super Saiyan god and rushed Vermont who effortlessly evaded.

Back on Earth

"I actually received a response from him." Nabu said as Batman along with the rest of the league looked at him.

"What does it say?"

Nabu visibly relaxed. "Lord Gohan has acted as the bridge and so the earth is in no danger from the gods wrath." Flash sat on a chair and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Oh thank god! We owe you one Gohan." Barry said as he relaxed.

"If push came to shove we would have had to fight against gods." Supergirl said as she relaxed as well.

"No we would have been squashed." Nabu said as he looked at them. "Since the danger has passed I will take my leave." As he vanished.

"Why is Fate so pessimistic?" Karen scoffed.

"It's not pessimism, the beings that created our time-space and effectively all of us almost turned their backs on us." She said as she sat down. "But at least we weathered the storm."

"I wonder if he will return?" Diana asked as Batman shrugged.

"It's doubtful, but if he does we need to at least try and fix this." As Superman nodded.

"Amanda took it too far this time, she needs to be held accountable for almost dooming the entire planet." Clark said in anger.

"Well either way, I think it would be best if he never does return." Martian Manhunter said. "He shows up and we almost get involved with beings we should never have even met."

"You say it as if he wanted his world to be destroyed." Barry pointed out, he clearly remembered the tears Gohan shed for his family as he stared out into deep space. "I hope he comes back, at first I wasn't sure but now I am, he isn't bad just feared for his power…something we all had to go through at some point in our lives."

In outer space a rock-like man stood with his back turned to the audience down below on their knees, his eyes glowed red as he spoke his voice deep and reverberating perfectly.

"Send Doomsday…let us see if this Justice Legion can stop him." Said the man as one of his subjects bowing nodded.

"Of course Lord Darkseid…" Said the man as Darkseid grunted before turning back to face them.

"If Doomsday fails to tear apart those caped worms, I shall personally bring their world to it's knees before terraforming it." Said Darkseid.

"The only being on that world who has a sliver of a chance at stopping Doomsday is the Kryptonian, but with Doomsday's enhancements, the Kryptonian along with their world shall perish in the fire." Either way, their world will burn.

"Of course my lord." Said Steppenwolf as he stood and turned and left to prepare Doomsday and inject him with enhancements.
