I woke up as I felt the slight strain on my neck and blinked in an attempt to focus my sight.

Oh yeah, I was in the cab, I thought as I saw the speeding vehicles outside.

I was going back to the dorm with -

I immediately looked to my right and felt his warm breath on the side of my neck. I caught my breath as I realised that we'd been leaning on each other as we slept.

I slowly peeked at Luke from the corner of my eye and saw him sleeping soundly. I took in what I was seeing, suddenly feeling very aware.

His chin rested against my shoulder and his hair swayed with the movement of the car and gently touched my cheek with every jerk.

I kept looking at him unable to shift my gaze and just as I was about to, he sleepily opened his eyes.

Immediately I panicked and pulled away. " Sorry... I.. uh.. " I stuttered, not knowing what to say.

But before I could figure out what to do, he pulled me back in and put his arm around my shoulder. "  Sleep. " He groggily said as he snuggled back into a comfortable position.

I froze as his nose accidentally grazed my neck leaving a tingling sensation as he pulled away.

He quickly settled down and in no time he was in a deep sleep again. I slowly leaned in a few moments later and rested myself against him.

I didn't know why but a soft smile spread across my face as I breathed in his natural beach scent. It was nice falling asleep like this I thought as I dozed off.

" Chipmunk. "

My eyes flew open. " Did he say something or was it just my imagination? " I thought as I looked at him. Seeing that he was still fast asleep I shrugged it off and closed my eyes again.

" -ndon. Brandon? BRANDON!!! " Kris shouted as she shook me.

" - what? " I said in annoyance as I rubbed my sleepy eyes. " If you don't get up now, you'll be late for the club. " She said as she grabbed her bag and stood up.  " Fine. " I grumbled as I got up slowly and followed her out of the now-empty lecture hall.

" So. What's going on between you and Lukey boy? " She asked as she nudged me with her elbow. " Absolutely nothing! And wipe that smirk off your face, will you!! " I replied as I glared at her.

" Oh come on. You told me you guys went for a dinner date and I've seen how he looks at you - " She started.

" Woah Woah Woah. Hold it!! That was not a dinner date. It was just dinner. Like how you and I have dinner together at times and also - Wait. Did you just say the way he looks at me? " I said in surprise.

" Yeah. The same way you look at him. " She replied with a grin. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

" Anyway, what the heck were you dreaming about? You had this small smile on your face the whole time. " She said. I immediately avoided eye contact as I felt my ears becoming warm. " Uh. Nothing. " I said.

She didn't even need to say anything for me to feel her questioning gaze burn through my side. " Um... It was just about yesterday's movie... " I said slowly. " Movie? " She asked.

I nodded and in a low voice I continued, " Luke took me out for a movie. He said I needed a break. That's why I was late this morning because I was showing him the bus routes since we gave his car for servicing later on. " I rambled on quickly.

Kris looked at me in disbelief and after a moment said, " And you ask me why I wonder what's going on between you two. "

By that time, we had reached the club room and I turned to face Kris. Putting on a serious tone I said, " I don't know, Kris. This is all new to me. Maybe I'm just feeling weird because nobody besides you really cares about me like this. That's probably why I'm feeling shaken, that's it... We'll talk about this later, okay? "

Seeing my frown and realising that I was being serious, she nodded and said, " Alright. I'll get a move on too. Before Talia sees me. " 

Peeking into the corridor she made sure it was clear before she dashed off, leaving me to turn and head into the clubroom.
