Gehenna, Hell, Hades. Whatever you call it, no one can deny that it is a place that has been pondered upon at least once. 'If I die will everything just fade to black and it's all over?' Years upon years of pondering what lies beyond the one-way tunnel we refer to as death. The multiple religions of the world have received what they believe to be premonition from higher powers. But none can still factually provide an answer to the question. What happens when the daylight cycle of man we call life comes to an end? What lies beyond the dusk of the existence of our species?
It has through multiple religions been described as a place where flames and Daemon run rampant, torturing the unfortunate souls of those who they, through some form of the universal justice system, define as sinners. It is said that it is a place that cannot be accessed with a mortal body. A place where one must suffer for lifetimes...eons...
eternity. Multiple simulations and consideration put into realizing a mere fraction of what is beyond man's ability to comprehend.
Yet. Amidst that. Only one testimony of this dystopia rings true, and that is it is a place of great and endless suffering.
'It has been 2 weeks since I have been here. Without anything to do all I can do is count the seconds that pass. Each painful excruciating second that passes is a reminder of where I am. Even for a Demon, this level of suffering is distasteful. All I can do is talk to myself in my head to retain my sanity. Yet despite all my suffering, nothing happens. Instead, it gets worse. What a horrid reality. All because I was created? I refuse to lose here when have done nothing wrong.' Izuki thought.
Izuki gritted his teeth and cursed the gods. His fists squeeze ever so tightly as blood oozes out from his palms. I'll murder them all. I just wanted to enjoy life. Why is it me you have chosen? In his rage, the fire thrashed and crackled around him. As though trying to bind him to the magma and brimstone on which he lay. But his will was strong and his anger stronger. He cursed the first seat for using him as her entertainment.
He cursed his maker for creating him for such a stupid purpose he didn't even ask for. He cursed himself for being so weak. He cursed the flames of hell for being partial enough to feast upon his innocent flesh even though he was innocent. He cursed and cursed and cursed. He dragged himself off the magma floor tearing the melting flesh off his bones as he supported his body with one of his arms.
His guide watched him silently. On the inside though, he was freaking out. "A mere mortal can endure the flames of hell with pure force of will alone? Draco was right. He is going to become a monster." he said as a single bead of sweat ran down from the base of his horns to his chin.
'They want me to surpass them? For their entertainment? Oh, I'll entertain them all right. I'll murder every single one of them until there's none left on the face of the planet.' he thought.
He pulled himself up slowly getting into a kneeling position. He then slowly propped himself up on a nearby bolder.
'Almost there... almost there. I'll kill all the gods. EVERY SINGLE ONE!' he thought as he pulled himself up to a standing position.
Drue stood there silent it took the rest of the main members of the pantheon no less than a month to even be capable of moving their bodies. Yet, it took him no more than 2 weeks? This was the birth of a monster.
Izuki stood still for 5 days trying to adjust to the new conditions that had been imposed on him. The gravity here made his bones rattle with each movement. The heat was still unbearable. But it was at least better now that his nerves had given out a few minutes ago. He used this chance to take a look at the landscape. Dark clouds filled the skies as smoke shot out of one of the millions of volcanoes that filled this place. Liquid fire flowed throughout the land as magma shot out of the ground at intervals. In the far distance, he saw an ominous castle, whose floors extended past the dark clouds.
He tried to take a breath but was greeted with that initial burn. His wounds healed indefinitely, and his emotions were constantly suppressed. He stood there taking in the hellish landscape. The initial hate he possessed, had dissipated. His only thought now was how he was supposed to survive this. He checked his immediate surroundings, but only saw his guide and a bunch of rocks.
He observed a great sword on the back of Drue. He pointed at it. He gestured as if asking where he could get one. Drue stayed silent. Saying nothing. Izuki tried to reach for it but in one fluid motion, Drue tackled him, kicked him in the chest then drew his sword and sliced off his arms. Izuki groaned in pain.
"Take note. Around here pointing at or reaching for someone's weapon is a declaration of violent intentions. So unless you're looking for a fight keep your hands to yourself." He stated with a smirk.
Izuki glared at him. But he was right. Anyone would do the same. 'Looks like I'll have to make my own.' He thought.
He got up once more and waited for his arms to heal. He found a nearby stone so he sharpened it with another stone constantly using the lava to refine his work. He walked over to his severed hands and using the stone removed his Ulna from the lifeless arm. He rubbed it against a nearby rock and made grooves in it creating a grip. He then used the piece of cloth to tie it all together making a makeshift rock dagger. He focused on making it a single-edged and curved blade for balance and edge alignment. All he had now was his torn pants to keep his "dignity" as he called it. He used his shirt and a couple of flat rocks to make footwear to traverse the terrain with.
With that, he turned to look at Drue and tried to talk but his throat still burned. So he held off on talking for now. He just silently walked away. Drue got the message and followed him a few feet behind.
