“Tyler. Tyler Scopes?” the name rang through the megaphone being held by a teacher in gym like clothing sporting short hair and several embroiders on her sleeve, almost looking like badges. “Oh hey that's me!” A young man with wide circle glasses and messy hair sporting a blue varsity jacket with a graphic tee of a camera brand on it waltzes over to the megaphone teacher. “Alright you are in room 208 and your roommate is... WILKIIIIIIIINS!” The hustle and bustle of all the students conversing and meeting up from their last summer before the start of college was pure chaos and messy at it's finest. Beyond the sea of students and bags a hand waves up with several band bracelets attached to it. “Wilkins, this is your new roommate Tony Sparks.” “Tyler Scopes.” “Whatever, help him to his room,” The teacher says as she waves them on and turns around “HEY! YOU TWO! 2 FEET APART YOU HAVE HAD ENOUGH TIME TO FUCK DURING SUMMER, GET YOUR ASSES MOVING!” Tyler blinks and shudders a bit. Whoever that monster of a teacher was, obviously needed some serious counseling... or did her students need it? “Hey, I'm Wilkins, welcome to Riverside. Pretty hard college to get into, how'd you score this?” Wilkins was a pretty well built guy, roughly about 20 or so and had clean cut hair, a subtle goatee and a pop punk aesthetic to him accompanied by bracelets, rings, and faded painted nails. “Oh I uh, submitted a photo for the photography class and the teacher really liked it so I guess recommendation?” “Oh dope, you got on Professor Warnaby's list then eh?” Wilkins said with a hearty laugh.

“Yeah I guess. So should we get to the room before Miss... uh...-” “Carls. Ms.Carls. Yeah we should probably go before she starts to yell at us for quote on quote loitering.” He gives a slight chuckle and grabs one of Tyler's bags. “This way, we gotta get to level 3 so it'll be a bit of a walk but you can get a good sight of the building.” Tyler responds with a nod. Through the hallways of the different stories was littered with several different types and cliques of people. Jocks, nerds, goths, and whatever the heck those people were doing with the common room furniture. “And that right there is the Kitchen that everyone can use. It's got like 5 ovens and a bunch of shit. You can keep all your food in our room though, I have a fridge in there.” “Wait... a whole fridge? How the-” “So our room is the old kitchen from like 35 years ago? They built it too small so they turned it into a super large dorm room. I was sharing it for a couple of years but my roomie just moved out into the frat house a few blocks away so I got you squirt!” “Haha yeah uh don't call me squirt that makes it sound like I'm your kid or something.” Tyler says with a laugh trying his best to be social. “Aw what's wrong with that? Hmm I'll call you Polaroid, sound good? Cause yanno, your shirt?” Tyler looked at his shirt with the faded colors on it. “Sure, that works!” Tyler responds with a smile and as they get closer to their dorm, a group of students are placing flowers in front of another dorm. As he got closer he noticed a picture of a girl on the door with gorgeous cloud like hair and a warm looking smile. But despite how bright that sun of a smile was, the air around it felt sharp and cold, almost like a dense downpour. “Hey uh... is everything okay?” Tyler asks Wilkins in a whisper gesturing to the memorial. “That was Becca. Can we talk about it in the room? I don't want to be too loud about it at the moment...” “Oh... sure.” Tyler takes one last look before reaching the end of the hall. Whoever that Becca was had a lot of friends because the entire hallway at that point was littered in flowers, chocolates, and other items of remembrance. “Alright, welcome to Casa de Wilkins and now Tyler!” Wilkins unlocks the door and opens it up to reveal a relatively large room. So large it could fit probably 3 king sized beds frame and all, and still have room to add more furniture. “Jesus! This is like the size of my old living room holy shit.” Tyler covers his mouth, “Oh shit sorry, didn't mean to-” “Oh no you're good, the rooms are completely soundproof. Yanno... college kids can do some pretty craaaaaaazy shit if ya know what I mean.” Tyler chuckles and sets his bag on his bed. The queen sized bed had already been set up with sheets and blankets and just the look of it could confirm this was one comfy bed.

“Get yourself comfy my dude cause tonight is the dorm mixer for freshies like you and I'll be your date if you would have me.” Wilkins says with a wink. “Oh, I uh...” Tyler said looking around “Dude I'm kidding! I'm gonna come with you as a friend and as a chaperon of sorts. Us upperclassmen have secretly been assigned freshman to keep an eye on and help out. So gimme your phone for a second?” Tyler nods and tosses his phone to him. “Alright let me just,” Wilkins taps away quickly on Tyler's phone. Tyler looks around the room some more admiring the several different posters littered around the walls, decorating it with art and album covers of bands he had heard of and artists who probably were more obscure than anything he listened to. “And done!” Wilkins tosses the phone back to Tyler. He checks the ID in the phone book and sees the new entry 'Wilkins AKA WilDaddy' “Really, WilDaddy?” Tyler says bursting out laughing. “Well, until you can get around the whole campus without getting lost AND make some friends it's staying like that in your phone!” He smiles and stretches. “So yeah... Becca.” “Oh uh if it's too hard to talk about it's alright I just-” “No no, it's alright. We all found out about it a few days ago so we had the time to process. Well some of us.” Wilkins gets up off the bed and locks the door. “Do you want something to drink?” “Uh sure, just some water.” Wilkins tosses him a water bottle. “Becca was a friend of mine, she had came in the same year as I did, photographer just like you. Sweetest girl ever, took amazing photos and when she wasn't doing that she was giving the racist old folks hell. She was a fighter.” “Wow... how did she die?” Tyler asked, trying to not beat around the bush. “Well... we were told she died in a freak accident, car hit her.” “Told. So you assume something else?” Wilkins chugs his water and looks to Tyler. His blue eyes setting on him, looking deep and concentrated. “Thing is, we didn't see anything online. No images, no news reports, not even one of those viral vids on Twitter. There's nothing about a car hitting a girl like that anywhere.” Tyler looks around unknowing what to say. “But it's okay, I'm okay now, it was a shock but we got to keep moving forward no matter what. I'm glad to of met her.” Tyler nods and shyly drinks from his water bottle. “Alright well I'll let you unpack, you can use the bedside drawers and the right side of the dresser. Left is mine and don't touch the bottom drawer!” Wilkins says with a wink and leaves the room back into the crowded sea of students. “Don't touch the bottom drawer? Why- oh... ah. GROSS!” Tyler shakes his head and turns to his bed where his blue bag rests. He unzips the top and begins to rummage through his clothes. A hundred thoughts flowed through Tyler's mind about the information he was given about that poor girl, Becca. He began to organize his clothes in the drawers assigned and left out a red and black flannel shirt on his bed for later. Taking one more look on the side table of Wilkins's Tyler could see a photo frame. He got closer and noticed a picture of Wilkins and a girl with gorgeous cloud like hair and a camera around her neck at a theme park with a sticky note on the bottom of the frame that read “I will solve this Becca, love Wilkins.” It sure was a nice photo...
