The last period before school was done for the day has almost reached its end. Haru sat listlessly beside the window, watching the clear blue sky. His mind was a mess. First the Intel he got from uncle Kazuto. Now the new transfer student who looks exactly like Kohaku. He rustled his head as he could not cope with thinking about it anymore.
"Ah, this is driving me nuts!"
“Hey, Haru.”
“heh!” Haru looked up, confused.
“You messing up your hair.”
“Oh...”
“Here, let me fix it up for you.”
“Hey... stop... I can do it myself Yui.” The short cute girl fixing Haru’s hair is Yui Onodera. Haru’s first best friend.
“Scoot over a bit. We need to talk.”
“If it is about the meeting, I don’t know much about the details.”
“No, not that silly”
“Then what exactly?”
“She looks just like her, doesn’t she?”
“I don’t know what you're talking about.” Haru turned his attention back to the blue sky out the window.”
“Heyyy...” she said in a cute voice
“Stop playing dumb. I am being serious here.”
“Of course, she looks like her.”
“She never told us she has a twin sister. Did she mention anything about it to you?”
“No, I’m in the same boat as everyone. I doubt she told Jotaro, either.”
Haru rested his chin on his hand as he let out a sigh. Stealing a look at the girl they were talking about.
“If her father is back, that would be pretty bad for us. Huh?”
“Yeah...”
“Takase and Onodera! Class is still in session!” Shouted MS. Karuizawa.
“Aaaah! Looks like we busted. Let’s continue some other time.”
“Yeah.”
(SCHOOL BELL RINGS)
“alright class, that’s it for today.”
“Hey! Haru! We will go on ahead.”
“Yeah, I will join you guys in a bit.”
Before heading to the clubroom, Haru met up with Aoki Kirigaya in the science lab. It is in the opposite direction of the clubroom. Haru passed by some students as he went up to the second floor. The two girls whispered to each other, something about Haru being handsome. When he finally reached the science lab, there were two guys standing in the hallway. One on the other exit side and one in front of the science lab. The guy in front of the lab allowed Haru inside and closed the door as soon as he entered.
“What’s with the security? White Flash.” Haru walked towards him with his hands in his pockets.
“I’ll tell you in a moment, but first. The new chic, notice anything about her.”
“Yeah, I thought I was looking at a ghost for a second.”
“My contacts have confirmed that she is indeed Kohaku’s little sister.”
“Interesting.” Haru rested against the wall, watching students leave the school grounds.
Kirigaya walked towards Haru and too watched the students leave.
“Haru...”
“This morning when I told you I saw a ghost, I meant to say ghosts.”
“huh!?” baffled. That’s all Haru could say at that moment.
“What do you mean? Ghosts?”
“The chic my guys reported seeing with the basilisks... I saw her with my own two eyes. I could not see her face, but her fighting technique... It’s identical, every kick, punch and swing of the katana. Her hair is shorter and white, whiter than mine.”
“That's all you got on her?”
“Unfortunately.”
“I’m running late, so about your bodyguards?”
“Yeah, you see. There is another thing we are not certain about yet, so bear with us.”
“Ok.”
“Kobayashi is not the only new transfer student we got this year.”
“Really?”
“It seems that the colonel brought home a new friend.”
“Is he someone to look out for?”
“Again, we are not sure, but we believe that Kenny 'the alchemist' has transferred to our school.”
“What!!!?” Haru’s voice echoed throughout the empty science lab.
Sternly Haru asked, “Which class has he been assigned to?”
“Class B. Relax. I know how you feel.”
“Dammit, that guy’s specialty is taking guys like us out.”
“We should be on high alert at all times now. Does Kazuto know about the alchemist yet?”
“I doubt it. If he did, he would have mentioned it last night.”
“That is all I got; I’ll give you a ring when something new pops up.”
“Cool, Thanks man. I really appreciate it.”
“Yeah, whatever, man, you can pay me back by hooking up with Akitsuki.”
“I told you it’s not like that!” Kirigaya just waved his hand as he walked out of the lab.
