They had no chance to save Sarah except to take her to the hospital. But then Max got an idea. He said, “Johnny! We have a place. Move to the right, go straight and then move left from 'the Saviour’s Café.” Johnny followed the instructions and they reached a horse stable. Max shouted, “Uncle Joe are you here?” A voice answered him, “Yes, just get in.”
After sometime, Sarah opened her eyes to see Max and Uncle Joe standing beside her bed. She exclaimed, “Uncle Joe! You’re alive! Moreover, why did you grow such a weird beard?” He answered, “Me and your aunt ran away to the nearby kingdom and came back later to see little Max as an orphan running out of food and lying on a street. We adopted him. I tried to find you but you and your sister didn’t show up in the entire town. We thought that you both died. We had to hide our identities so that’s why now your uncle has grown this amazing beard.” Sarah stood silent for a moment and then said, “Where is Johnny?” Max answered, “He is in the basement. He said that he didn’t want to show you his face because he thinks you’re angry.” Sarah felt sad so she went to the basement and said in a calmer voice, “Johnny, are you here?”
Johnny replied, “No, I’m a cat.”
Sarah sighed and said, “I know you’re here. I’m sorry for behaving rudely. Look, the truth is I never made friends and now that I have you and Max, I don’t want to lose you. I don't know why I am always wrong in choosing between good and bad ones. ”
Johnny replied, “Its ok. I’m sorry too for hiding the truth from you. I swear I won’t do that ever again.”
They both left the basement and Seconds later they started talking like they forgot they were angry or sad.
But after all this, they didn’t knew how they were going to defeat the sheriff. Amelia has now sent cowboys to search for the three. They knew if they went on the street they will get caught and killed.
However, the civilians of the town were pretty moved. They all saw how Sarah fought for them and almost got killed. Many of them were now writing to the mayor to suspend the sheriff. The mayor called Amelia for the meeting. Mayor said, “Amelia, this is the first time I’m getting complaints of civilians against you. They are blaming you for trying to kill an innocent civilian. Is it true?” Amelia wasn’t stressed at all, instead, she said, “Mam, citizens don’t know who is friend and who is enemy. The person I shot was a spy from the neighbouring town and was sent to kill you. My cowboys are searching and will soon get her.” The mayor said, “Even if I suppose for once that what you say is true, then why is my son involved in this?” Amelia thought for a second and then replied, “Your son does not know what a criminal we are dealing with. I tried to warn him but he is not ready to listen at all.” Of course she was lying. But the mayor wasn’t ready to listen either, she said, “Not only my son all the civilians are now against you. I can’t take the risk to make the public go against me. Now that everyone is against you, I have no option other than to suspend you and now I don’t want to hear your excuses anymore.” Amelia got angry, “You know what I am done working under you. I won’t resist you anymore. You and your son are no use to me now.” After saying this she shot the mayor.
The news of the mayor’s death spread like rapid fire in the forest. Johnny was broken. He started crying. Sarah tried to calm him down but it was all in vain. Sarah found her family but Johnny lost his family. Johnny suddenly remembered something and his sadness turned into horror. “What happened?” Sarah asked. Johnny said, “My sister! She is in danger! I think she is the next target of Amelia.” Sarah quickly said, “She needs help. Come on, we have no time.”
They rode through the streets as quickly as possible to reach Johnny's sister, not even caring about the cowboys after them. As they reached his house they saw his sister crying in a corner, all alone. Johnny said, “No need to worry, Marian. I’m here.” As soon as she heard Johnny’s voice she ran and hugged him. She said sobbing, “Never leave me alone like that again.” They heard the cowboys outside. Johnny said, “We have no time. We have to run.” They sneaked out through the window and ran away.
