They rode straight to Uncle Joe’s house. Sarah said in a cracking voice, “I’m sorry Johnny that you had to suffer this much because of me.”
Johnny placed his hand on her shoulder and said, “This wasn’t because of you Sarah, it was my choice to join the rebellion. Please don’t blame yourself. After all, I love you as a friend. Everyone loves you.”
“Seriously?”
“Yes, I’ve heard people of the town. They praise you as their hero. You were the one against the wrong when no one dared to. You rose their inner fire. They want to fight with you, against the sheriff.”
Sarah took a deep breath and said, “Do you think it’s finally the time to speak to them?”
“They’ll love if you do.”
Sarah and Johnny went into the public in front of the cowboys to announce something. The cowboys were going to attack them when a random man on the street shot the cowboys.
Sarah was astonished. She started, “My dear town people” There was a complete silence, and every eye was on Sarah as she continued “my parents tried their best to free you all from Amelia. But I’ve realised a mistake that my parents did. They did not ask for your support. All these years I’ve been fighting alone not realising that the state has the power, you are the state, you have the power. You can knock anyone down with your unity. Raise with your voice against the injustice, fight the wrong. Are you with me, at least a single one?” There was a complete silence for a moment, then the mob started shouting in favour of Sarah. Sarah grinned and said, “Amelia, prepare your death, we’re coming!” The mob shouted along.
