[Switching to an unknown individual]

“Five more minutes please”

“WAKE UP!”

I awoke in a cot, I looked around, I was in a plain chamber with a basic drawer next to the cot

“Get dressed”

I put on the clothes provided (which were a tank top a pair of sweatpants and sandals)

I looked around some more I could not find whoever told me to wake up (more like screamed at me)

“Where am I?”

“It is better that you do not know.”

“Who am I?”

“Hmmm, your name is … Scarlet”

“now move on into the next room, I have some... puzzles for you to solve”

Scarlet:“Who are you?”

Jim:“Just call me Jim”

The “puzzles” that he ran me through tested my Agility, Endurance, Reflex, Intelligence and strength

Most of the chambers are impossible, that is without my gift

I could change the shape of my legs and run at extreme speeds

Or if I fell from a great height my tail would inflate to cushion my fall

And at the final chamber...

Jim:“Well... this is it”

Then Jim started to act strangely, he started talking as if he was not the only one watching.

Jim:“Come on, she is just a girl”

Then another voice spoke...

“you know what happens if she lives”

“Do it!”

Jim:“Come on be reasonable”

I could hear a struggle...

Jim:“Scarlet whatever you do RUN!”

Jim: "AAAAUUUGGGGHHH!!"

“Sorry about that, I will do it myself”

I looked for a way out ,there was none in sight.

“Goodbye!”

The panels of the wall opened up to reveal gun turrets they started to open fire

*RATTA TATTA RATTA TATTA*

Scarlet:“Wait, I'm not dead!”

I looked around to see that my tail formed a sphere around me as if to shield me.

Then I expanded my tail to a ridiculous size and smacked the guns with force so great, it ripped them off

of their turrets.

*WRENCH! *

“So you are not dead yet?”

I was angry beyond belief.

Scarlet:“WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME!?!?”

“Well I actually once thought that you are adorable, that’s a shame because you are going to have to die

like “Jim”.”

Scarlet:“ Wait he is still-”

“Oh and if you want to see your only friend again...You know what? Here, you can die together!”

Then a hatch flipped open in the ceiling of the large room as a limp shaking figure was lowered by two thick chains strapped to his arms, He was a man wearing a lab coat, his broken glasses were askew on

his broken, bleeding nose, he looked miserable.

Jim:“Sc-scarlet you are still alive?”

Scarlet“So you're Jim?”

Jim:“No time for questions”

“The time for sentimentalism is over! Say hello to my favorite gadget!”

I looked at a large hydraulic piston with a spike at the end

“This happy friendly spike would be delighted to have a magical journey RIGHT THROUGH YOUR FUCKING HEARTS!!!”

“Any last words?”

Jim looked up and pulled a small device out of his coat, it had a yellow button on it.

Jim:“Yes I do”

Jim:“fuck... you”

He pressed the yellow button with his middle finger.

*BEEP!*

*BZZZAAAAAATTTT!!!*

The lights flickered off and machinery stopped dead, we were in complete darkness.

I strained my eyes, I saw a body lying on the floor like some sort of blood-soaked marionette whose

strings had been cut.

Scarlet:“Jim!”

I ran to him, he looked up and handed me the device.

Scarlet:“what is this?”

Jim:“an EMP device”

Jim:“Kills...electronics”

Jim:“the emergency- *cough* power system should be kicking in soon...”

Scarlet:“Come on we have to go!”

Jim:“I...Can’t, even if I got out of here, they would track me down very quickly,  every staff member has had a chip implanted”

Jim:"But.. I made sure you do not...I botched the injection procedure...”

Jim:“*Hack!* you are the feminine spitting image of *cough*... I am so sorry”

Jim:“Take this too”

He handed me another small device.

Scarlet:“What is this?”

Jim:“You... will find out soon”

Jim:“Now go”

Scarlet:“But...i”

Jim:“Be a good girl and go”

I ran off, I changed the shape of my fists and slammed the walls.

*CRASH!*

I made a dent...

*PAM!*

One more time...

*KEERRASHH!!!*

I went through the gaping hole in the wall. I could see red exit signs glowing in the darkness.Many others ran and bumped past me, they were in too much of a frenzy to notice that I was the very person that they were hunting. I followed the EXIT signs to an elevator. As the doors closed, I was able to take a breather and soak in what had just happened.

Scarlet:"Wha-!? Who said that!?"

I stood up and hit the G button.The doors opened to a very old looking place, it was a large field of asphalt.

Scarlet:"A parking lot?"
