I groaned as I awoke to my head pulsating. I got up with my body not feeling so sore anymore, but it still hurt like crazy. Guess I’m not going to school today. I went upstairs to my bedroom and sat on my bed. There was a loud grumbling sound which I realized was my stomach. So I got up from bed and went back downstairs to make some breakfast. But gosh, I felt so…bad. I couldn’t make anything.
I ended up ordering some UHop. I sat in a robe as I ate a face full of pancakes on the sofa. There was syrup running down my full cheeks as I stared at the TV screaming, stuffing my face.
I felt so hungry. I guess when they punched me in the stomach my stomach’s contents evaporated.
After finishing my food, I took the container it came into the trash. I looked in my fridge for something to drink and found nothing. I groaned out loud and slumped against the fridge door. Ugh…now I have to go to the store. I NEED Root Beer… I thought to myself.
I finally got up and threw on some jeans and a turtleneck sweater. I headed out of the house and walked to the nearest FalMart. Luckily, it wasn’t very busy today!
I headed inside and grabbed a cart. I made of list of stuff on my phone that I should also get while I’m here. I need milk, root beer, syrup, ketchup, burger buns, and vinegar. I headed towards the drink aisle since it was the nearest and I really wanted to get my root beer. Or at least just see it.
I got my root beer and headed for the milk which was not far from the drinks. Skimming all the different types of milk, I finally found the 1% fat milk! But…it was out of my height range.
I sighed as I looked up, trying to conjure up a plan. Then, someone in a hoodie and sweatpants walked by. “Hey!” I called out. They turned around slowly and pointed at themselves. “Mhm! Yes, you! I wanted to ask if you could get that 1% milk for me. It’s kind of high and you’re taller than me. So maybe you could reach it?” I spoke laughing nervously, not trying to bother anyone’s time.
He looked at me with a surprised expression and walked closer. “Y-you can see me?” he asked. I tilted my head. “Yes…of course, I can see you!” I spoke. His eyes widened as he said a small ‘oh’ that was barely audible.
“No one else can see me…it’s been that way for as long as I can remember…” he muttered maintaining strong eye contact.
“Wha…are you like a ghost or something?” I chortled with a playful tone. “You don’t believe me? Follow me,” he spoke. I shrugged and followed as the man speed-walked to someone.
“You, wait over there.” he pointed a reasonable distance away. It would look weird if I was just standing next to someone, I'm sure they’d ask me did I need something. I went over to where the guy had directed me and stood to watch.
The man stood directly in front of the victim and stuck his tongue out. I couldn't help but giggle. The victim didn’t react in any shape or form. Did they even notice him? I guess not. He looked towards me. I gestured for him to touch them or something.
He slapped them across the face but his hand phased right through them. I gasped and realized–he might be a ghost!
