A boy, after attending his first day of high school, drove his bicycle back home.

"Na na you might as well be walkin' on the sun," humming along to the song booming through his brother's Walkman.

The device tuned out almost everything around him, including the group of seniors following after him.

They tipped his back over, sending him flying down the cropped green hill.

    "Hey, Kira!"

    "Tell me what happened to your brother," a command from a former friend and now head of the delinquents around town.

    "It's..."

    "What you mumbling over there?" striding over to him, he lifts his head to stare under his eye.

    "It's Akira, boke" he spat out. His eyes like a wild beast, sending chills up his spine.

[Translation: Boke means idiot, bastard, or insult]

    "What they saying?"

A few of the boys queried, the only other English speaker in the group.

    "They just telling each other off," he simplified and pushed against the white tape over his glasses.

    "Don't make me repeat myself," the blonde haired boy seethes.

    "How am I supposed to know if the doctors-" he stared off.

    "Not. That. One," a coercing that set him off like a trigger, punching him straight in the nose.

    "Hey! Harada, what do you think you doing?!" they attempted to intervene.

    "Leave them be," the boy interjects with a hand held up.

    "You son of bi-"

    "Who do you think you are to meddle in my business, huh!?" hovering over the boy while he gripped at his blood dripping nose.

    "You-"

    "That was rhetorical, I don't need you to answer because I already know it. No one. You are no one to ask about my Ankī, so do what you do best."

    "Piss off!" A leg raised in the air soon drops as the twins and their father walk by above them.

    "Ah-Ki-Ra what you doing?!" the girl hollered over with a hand cupped to his mouth.

    "Nothing, I was going home when I tripped down the hill"

    "And your friends are there to help?"

    "Yabai!" [Oh shit]

    "Their dad is as huge and scary as always,"

    "I'm out!"

The group splits, leaving the Meganee- Kun and Blondie behind.

    "We were friends," he spits.

    "I'm glad you know your tenses," Akira comments and walls up to the family.

    "Akira, everything alright down?" referring to his bruised hand.

    "Yeah Mark- San, I'm good" moving over his fist behind him.

    "We got overseas sweets, again" the boy lifts up a sealed package.

    "Yeah come over and have some!"

He reluctantly agrees, using it as a detour than heading home.
