"Shit shit shit!" Was the first words used on his way to his first class of college which were used after a 'Stupid fucking phone' as soon as Tyler woke up for his class that started in 5 minutes. Tyler rushed around corners of the dorm, passing students still cleaning up after last night's mess and with some supervision from a few Professors and Resident Assistants who were also there last night. Without thinking, he avoided the elevator but would of been safer for him most likely considering he almost fell down the stairs not once, not twice, but about four times. He turned the corner and WHACK. He rammed into a wall once more.

The exact same leather jacket-wearing wall.

"Hola amigo! You're up in a rush huh?" Wren said with a stretch in a yawn. Tyler adjusted his glasses and looked at Wren once more. "Did you... sleep in that jacket?" "Oh heavens no! I didn't sleep at all actually. OH! You're just the person to talk to about this! So I left the party really late and was walking back to my car and then-" Tyler sighed and looked at the door to the courtyard. "Look this sounds like an amazing story Wren but I'm gonna be late to my first class so could we talk later over late breakfast at like 11?" Wren stopped and pouted a bit but nodded. "Okay! Just don't forget about me okay Ty?" "I won't! I promise." Tyler gave a side hug then bolted out of the doors and into the courtyard. The bright sun on a clear sky was lighting up the dew on the grass to the point it was like a field of rings in a jewelry shop. It was a complete juxtaposition from the day previous where it was littered with new students, stands for various clubs and activities, and a few groups of older students wanting to try and prank some poor unfortunate soul. It was almost relaxing and nice but Tyler only had a few seconds to appreciate it before he was late.

After a few wrong turns and misdirections from many many new people and outdated maps, he arrived outside the door for his class. 'Professor Warnaby's' was printed on a plaque just above the frame of the wooden door, resting on a white brick wall. "Ok you're only a few minutes late, hopefully, the professor is also late or something crazy happened." Tyler said to himself trying to hype himself up for any sort of embarrassment. "Actually," A voice said from behind him, "I'm pretty sure I would understand as I too am late to my own class!" Tyler stopped for a second and turned around to put a face to a voice and sure enough, it was Professor Warnaby. He adjusted his rimless glasses with a smile, a coffee carrier in his hand, and a stack of papers tucked under the other. "Had to get myself a coffee before the early class, they messed up and gave me 2 though." "Oh well that's kinda lucky I guess. Sorry I'm-" "Tyler Scopes, ironic your last name considering you're in my photography class." He said with a hearty chuckle. His smile clearly visable from behind his messy like beard resting on his round face. He almost looked like a younger Santa Claus. "We should probably get in then, I do want to talk to you after class though about your submission." Tyler was dumbfounded and tongue-tied with a loss of a response but proceeded after Warnaby once the door was opened. He walked over to the empty seat not bothering to check his desk partner.

He sat his bag down on the floor and fixed his hair for a quick second whilst digging his notebook out from the broken zipper. Warnaby proceeded to get things sorted on his desk and take a sip of his coffee as he started to speak. "Good morning class, I'm professor Warnaby, you're photography professor as it is in my name and on the plaque. Before we get started I'm going to do a roll call, if you don't want to be in this class please leave I have no tolerance for slackers. Now, Liz?" He started to call out names and students started to answer back. Tyler looked around the room noticing everyone with some sort of photography item on their desk. "Shit. Do I have enough film?" He said quietly to himself. Tyler hurriedly and anxiously picked up his bag and started to rummage through his bag for his film when a familiar-sounding voice next to him inquired, "You need some film there Camera boy?" Tyler paused and looked dead ahead. "No. No no no no no NO. HELL NO." He turned up and turned to the teal-haired guy from the party last night with the biggest grin on his cute dumb face. "Awww what's wrong, didn't expect to see me again?" Tyler rolled his eyes and looked to see if there was another seat open but unfortunately to his discovery, the last two seats were taken up by a goth girl and a small well-dressed boy. "Shit." "Shit indeed, because in 3, 2, 1-" Warnaby stopped his roll call and looked around "Before I finish up here, your seats now are your assigned seats so please do not move around after today unless instructed to do so." This was Tyler's worst nightmare to date, and that was comparing it to his mid-day nap scare from yesterday. "You're stuck with me kiddo." "Well don't expect me to lend you any pencils or anything 'cause I quite frankly do not like you." He smiled and shook his head. "You don't even know my name let alone me cute stuff." Warnaby sighed and walked up to Tyler's table. "Tyler I got you already but please Skye, respond when I call your name?" "Yessir!" He said with a sarcastic salute. "Well now I do so it was nice meeting you Skye, but I'm not interested." "Wow, ouch. First you said you didn't want to shop for people and now you don't even want to talk to the guy who was the first person to give you a number? Who crapped in your cereal?" Tyler sighed and passively slammed some film onto the table and glared at Skye with a slight chuckle. "Ok, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and I dunno if it's due to stress, anxiety, or-" "Or the fact that a student died here and your curiosity is starting to kill the cat?" Skye said with a straight face. "I..." It was only obvious that Skye would have known as he was there practically a year longer than Tyler was but even still, the lack of empathy in his tone was alarming. Before Tyler could respond back he was cut off, "Alright class, welcome. This photography class did require you to submit your photos in order to get in, and that is our first lesson. Critiquing." Tyler's heart rose to his throat, caught making it hard to swallow. "We will be passing around this folder that I put together and I want you all to use a sticky note that I placed on all your desks and write down your favorite one and why. We will go over the results in a bit."

Tyler looked around as the folder was getting started off at the front with the goth girl and the small boy. The goth girl looked through whilst the smaller one pointed and started waving his hands around, talking quite harshly. 'This is going to be hell' were the first words coming to Tyler's mind. He took a deep breath and put his head down on the desk looking forward. He started to space out waiting for his turn staring at the whiteboard covered with previous students' works. Then he heard the click of a camera going off and turned to his left and sure enough, Skye had a camera in his hand. "Sorry, you just were capturing the light really well." Tyler sighed and sat up. "Could I see?" Tyler asked actually rather genuinely. Despite his previous interactions, photography was always a big passion and could get past the rudeness from before. "Yeah sure, here." Skye handed Tyler the camera and he started to look at the screen. There was a relatively high-resolution image of him sitting at the desk staring into space, the light capturing him sure enough really well. It was even showing slight dust particles in the air too, it was an aesthetic for sure. "Hey this is actually really good-" Then Tyler stopped and started to zoom in on the screen a bit and his vision started to get blurry. There in the corner he saw something strange... something opaque. "Are you okay?" Tyler got up as he put the camera down. "Y-yeah I think I just need to-" His ears started to ring and his vision got cloudier and cloudier as he saw Warnaby starting towards him, running. The last thing he saw was the sight of the ceiling and the soft teal hair looking down at him as the vibrations of something hitting the hard ground rang in his deafened ears. His eyes started to close slower and slower, seeing the last final image of a opaque figure in the corner of the room resembling a girl with big hair and a camera around her neck.
