It was the most prominent and most significant reign Gaius had ever experienced, Sun Jun had led the Black Dragons to greatness, but at a great cost, his own humanity.

He had gone completely lost in his own power, up until he gave no care for his fellows, including his family. They did not see him as a human anymore, his newfound power was consuming his mind.

He and his family had grown apart, Sun Lee, his mother, his one sister, and his younger brother went to live in another house. They felt that it was too unsafe to be living in the same place Sun Jun was in. This would not mind Sun Jun at all. They would have gone to the lands that were formerly ruled by the Peria Nation...

This would have gone on for over three years, the Black Dragon's reign was still supreme, and Sun Lee with his family seemed to be having a good time. He and his brother decided to not fight in this war, they never enjoyed engaging in the war alongside the Black Dragons army. They never liked war at all, with their father not being there to pressure them, there was no worry to stop battling.

Sun Lee's mother, Laia Lee had met another man. That man was a former soldier of the Peria Nation, the both of them had been talking with each other for a while, and had started a relationship with each other. His name was Elashor, after the fall of Peria, he alongside many other soldiers had been forced into labor for the Black Dragons army.

Time went on, and Elashor was liked by the whole household. "The father figure we needed." Sun Lee would frequently say. He especially had a strong and loveable bond with Elashor. Elashor would later one be the one that made Sun Lee be able to perform God Invocation, and become a master of his sword. Something his biological father would stop doing after he became corrupted.

The happiness did not take long however, despair was on its way for the newfound family of Sun Lee. The biggest reason for this was that they were the children of Sun Jun, with Laia being his wife, she was throned as the "Mother of Dragons". A name that is only given by the wife of the Black Dragon lord. It did not take long for Laia to be noticed by the public eye, and not too long for her to be seen with Elashor. Who never knew that she was the Mother of Dragons, as Laia was too afraid to tell him, expecting him to turn into compulsive anger towards her and her children.

The words had been spread, Laia was living a life with a commoner man.

"What is she doing here, and not the palace?"

"Why is she with another man?"

"What has happened? Is she not the Mother of Dragons?"

Many words have spread across the entire Black Dragon's kingdom, and of course, it had reached the ears of Sun Jun.

Upon hearing this, he would have turned into complete anger, the thought of his wife betraying his love for her. He felt betrayed and regretted letting them go.

He ordered the searching for all of them. For betraying his love, he believed that it was the best option to get rid of them, resulting in him ordering the search for the Lee family.

As expected, Laia was found with her family. They have been brought back to the Black Dragon castle, where Jun was awaiting them.

At the time when they had been captured, since Laia was the one Jun wanted the most, he decided to have her executed, in front of her family. But before that, Sun Jun appointed three men to forcefully have their way with her, all while the family was watching, Sun Jun had sickeningly made Sun Lee, his brother, and his sister watch the disgusting scene alongside Elashor, who was in a complete rage, but unable to do anything, as he was chained down, waiting for his execution after hers.

Laia had been stabbed right in the chest after what the men did to her, dying on the spot, the blood spilled through a large sum of the ground, touching the bare knees of her family. This absolute cruelty had placed a deep scar on Sun Lee and his siblings' hearts.

The next and final victim would be Elashor...

Sun Jun decided to take his life with his own hands, right in front of his own children. Right before Elashor was about to get his heart slashed off, he turned his head towards Sun Lee, who was the only one conscious, his siblings passed out due to how severe their trauma was, Lee was the only one crying his heart out.

He looked at him and said:

"You did not deserve this life, i am truly sorry for bringing this up to you, and your family."

His word shattered Lee's soul, whose sole wish was to have a father that cared for him, he was always the one that took care of his mother, but his father never cared for them. During those years, he grew hatred towards his father, but this incident sealed the book.

Sun Jun decided to keep his children alive, Sun Lee and his siblings continued to live in hatred against their father, although, nothing could be done. Sun Jun was the most powerful person in the entire empire, all they could do is wish for his death.

It was an extremely dark time for Sun Lee, he and his brother would never touch the sword again, the image of a sword would forever remind them of the scar their father inflicted upon their hearts, three years would later pass. A young 22-year-old Sun Lee had practiced his fire-bending ability, so much to the point of him becoming a master of his art, he was dedicating his whole life to avenging his beloved parents.
