At the broken down Orphanage in the backstreets of sea-vill, there was a little boy with light brown hair and tan skin who had just recently gotten his powers and was shunned into a room all by himself.
Random kid passing by: don’t go there
2nd kid: why
1st kid: that's the room where the freak sleeps
2nd kid: really
1st kid: yea so come over here before he decides to attack you
The kids then ran off away from Anthony’s room leaving him sitting in his room with the eerie silence surrounding him. Alone with his thoughts almost as if he was talking to himself.
Anthony: am I a freak of nature, why do they hate me, I thought they were my friends, can I trust them or anyone at this point
Those thoughts stay circling in his mind and air around him making it thicker and harder for him to breathe. No matter how much he wanted to breathe he couldn't because it felt like his throat was close in on him blocking the airways. Causing his eyes to well up with tears and with pounding in his head he began to cry and cry until finally, he fell asleep. The next day when he left the room he headed to the dining room to eat but instead he was met with an empty plate and a note on top of it which read:
A Freak like you doesn't deserve food,
You should just die the world would be in peace by then,
And free of freaks like you.
After reading the note Anthony then began to cry out of anger and hunger. While he was crying fur began to appear on his face and arms so a kid who saw this put a mussel over Anthony’s mouth. When Anthony's emotions calmed down and he turned back to human, the boy that put the mussel on Anthony nervously reached for the mussel and took it off of Anthony’s face.
The boy: I'm sorry but we couldn't risk you lashing out
Anthony: figured(he said swaying)
His eyes fluttered open and close until he eventually just fell to the ground and reality went black. When he woke back up he noticed he was in his room and a lot older than his memory but still in the same orphanage because anyone that adopts him returns him after figuring out he can turn into a wolf and the added fear that comes with that. As he looked down at his arms he noticed cuts that grew in amount as he got older with new ones added now and then.
Housekeeper: Anthony gets ready for school
Anthony: I don't wanna go
Housekeeper: and I frankly do not care
She then walked away from the door so Anthony could get ready for school. An hour later when Anthony was done changing made it to school and the usual whispering started.
Random boy: yo Anthony(throws a ball at his head) fetch
Anthony: I'm not a dog
Random girl: aww the pet thinks he's human
Random boy 2: why don't we just put him on a leash
Anthony then began to burn up with anger.
A group of people surrounded Anthony laughing at him and mimicking his wolf form.
Random boy: you know it would be so much better if you just didn't exist
The group surrounding Anthony laughed louder and pointed at him. And in a fit of anger and annoyance, Anthony ran to the roof of the building to clear his head. As he was sitting on the rooftop he thought to himself.
Anthony: maybe I am better off gone nobody would miss me, my friends are gone, they got adopted, my parents are dead, I'm smart but my powers wouldn't allow me to get a job even the orphanage people hate me(he says practically in tears)
And so with his decision made he walked toward the edge of the roof and put one leg out past the edge of the building, closing his eyes, and leaned forward. When he felt the air on his face he felt himself get pulled back by a strong force.
Random man: what do you think you're doing
Anthony: reaching my eternal happiness
Random man: wouldn't it be better if lived longer
Anthony: I suppose but there's no hope for me everyone here does nothing but hate me
Random man: but what if you don't have to go here if you went to a place where everyone will accept you
Anthony: that would be my paradise
Random man: then come with me
Anthony: your name
Random man: Aiden and yours
Anthony: Anthony
They then took each other's hand in a compromise.
