Ciroz became obsessed with the scene when Sam G. Powell and Millar disappear before him,Ciroz thought how Sam G. Powell could have him cheating on him after all they've been through together. He felt anger bubbling up inside of him but he forced himself to keep calm. There was only one thing he could do now, and that was to get stronger and to protect the girl whom he loved.
since Sam G. Powell took the book and kidnapped Millar is Ciroz doesn't know where to where Sam G. Powell went Ciroz only had one way to go is forward
.
“Let's go then.” With these three words, Ciroz started running ahead towards the direction Sam G. Powell vanished. After following his scent, which soon disappeared in a small distance, he continued running until he reached a huge hole in the side of the cavern that allowed the rays of sunlight to enter. From there he observed what appeared to be a massive city full of monsters and the buildings were surrounded by stone walls. In front of the hole, he noticed two large stone statues which resembled those of two giant beasts with huge heads. Both of them appeared to have been sculpted from solid blocks of stone but there were cracks on their faces and one of the creatures seemed to have lost his nose and one eye.
Ciroz walked closer and studied the statues carefully. These statues were very similar to the statues he had seen in the museum.
“This must be Sam G. Powell's home. If I am right then this must be his secret hideout,” thought Ciroz.
After studying the statues for a little longer, Ciroz noticed movement from somewhere. Looking down, he noticed two huge eyes staring at him intently. They seemed quite intelligent but Ciroz didn't know whether it was safe to approach the creature or not.
He cautiously crept forward until finally, he reached the opening of the cave. He slowly peeked in the dark hole in front of him; then gasped, feeling the air leaving his lungs. Before him was a vast ocean and the waves were crashing against each other violently. Ciroz could see gigantic fish jumping and swimming freely in the water. A beautiful rainbow colored butterfly hovered above the surface of the ocean. Ciroz watched the butterfly for several seconds wondering why it was hovering over such dangerous water.
All of a sudden a voice resonated from the shadows behind him.
“Come here and look,” said a man's deep and raspy voice.
Ciroz slowly turned around. He froze when he saw that the man was standing in between him and the ocean. His face was hidden underneath a hood, making it impossible to see his facial features.
“What is it?” asked Ciroz nervously.
“Come here,” ordered Sam G. Powell.
Ciroz remained quiet and stepped closer to the man. Once he stood before him, the man took off his hood revealing a white face with blue eyes. The skin was covered in thick, black veins and he was wearing a black suit with a white undershirt.
“What are you doing out here alone?”
“I came to find someone,” answered Ciroz quietly.
The man nodded in approval. “Yes you will. Come with me and I'll introduce you to him.” The man took Ciroz by the hand and lead him through a narrow tunnel which led them deeper inside of the mountain.
They traveled deeper inside the mountain until they came to an open space. It was a large underground chamber and a lot of tunnels lead away to different parts of the cave. Some tunnels contained torches lighting the area, some had lanterns hung from the ceiling. There were also huge doors leading outside that were kept closed.
The man led Ciroz through a series of corridors until they arrived at a large, open area. It appeared to be the living quarters. The walls were decorated with pictures that depicted different kinds of creatures.
On each wall, there were portraits. One picture portrayed a woman who looked exactly like the one they had seen earlier. On the second painting there was another woman with long, curly hair. On the third and last picture there were several pictures of the same women, each with a different kind of expression on their faces. There were many more than Ciroz could count and all of the people were smiling happily. The most important portrait however was the only one without the woman and boy. It portrayed a young man with dark hair, hazel eyes and pale skin.
