Emily
After nearly freezing poor Pete to death, I tried to keep my emotions down. Another thing about the High Magus, our emotions can access our powers. Take now, for example. The anxiety I was feeling initiated my ice breath. The cure to anxiety is to calm down, and my ice breath was the way to cool down.
A few minutes later, we arrived at the school. Pete drove around the campus to the dormitories. Nearly all the spots would have been taken if not for Pete's crazy driving. When I say 'crazy driving, I mean CRAZY DRIVING! He saw a parking spot near the front entrance of the dorm building and floored it to get there first. I'm just glad we didn't get in an accident.
After Pete and I exited the car, we walked to the dormitories. Zyair made him my bodyguard, so he can't leave my side. However, after a quick call to Zyair and a threat of no touching, we agreed that Pete would stand outside the door to give Theo and me some time alone. Wow, women really do have the upper hand.
Pete and I took the elevator to the fifth floor and went straight to Theo's room as soon as we landed. With my swelling heart, I knocked on the door. The door opened to reveal Theo, and the look on his face was priceless. His eyes were wide, and his mouth hung open.
"You gonna invite me in?" I trailed.
Theo lurched forward and engulfed me in a hug. Once I recovered from the shock, I hugged him back. It was only then that I heard him squeak.
"I-I was so worried," he cried. "That night, when I saw you unconscious and bleeding in his arms, I thought--I thought..."
I hugged him as tightly as I could. Poor Theo, he must've been so scared. I should've called or visited sooner. "I'm sorry," I replied.
He cried for a bit longer before we went inside his dorm. As promised, Pete waited outside while I comforted Theo. We sat on his living couch, just hugging each other. The two of us are as thick as thieves. To see him like this breaks my heart. After he calmed down, I told him everything. Who Zyair is and how I'm his amore.
"Figures," Theo scoffed. "Only a prince would act like a prick."
My stomach hurt as I laughed. He's not wrong.
"So," Theo began, propping his elbow on the top of the sofa. "how big is he?"
I gasped. My face turned beet red. "THEODORE!"
"What? It's a valid question. Or..." he gasped. "You still have your v-card!"
"I'm not ready to give it to him yet," I rolled my eyes.
"Why? He's your amore, plus he's already marked you. Frankly, I'm surprised you still have it. The beast inside him must be roaring to have sex with you."
He wasn't wrong. Zyair showed a lot of self-control yesterday during our dry hump session.
It was good…
"What are you thinking about?" Theo narrowed his eyes.
"Nothing," I defended.
Theo gave me a 'like hell I'd believe that' look. I rolled my eyes. This fool is unbelievable. Just then, my stomach growled. Oh, right, I didn't eat anything.
"Got any food?" I asked.
Theo nodded and got up from the sofa to go to the kitchen. I followed him to continue our conversation. "So, how's the program?" I leaned on the kitchen countertop.
"I love it! The classes are so good!" He beamed.
I'm glad he was having fun. I kept asking him questions about his classes while he made me a grilled cheese, my favorite! When he finished the sandwich, he placed it on a plate and handed it to me. I was about to take it when I felt slight pain in my chest. I winced and ended up dropping the plate, causing it to fall to the floor with a crash.
"You ok, Em?" Theo placed his hands around me.
I heard banging at the door. I knew it was Pete. He must've heard the crash, but the door wasn't locked. He could just walk in, so that means...
Before I could open my mouth to speak, my choker began to glow. I looked at the onyx stone that shined brightly. "THEO!" I screamed.
I felt a pair of arms wrap around me as my body became weightless, and darkness consumed my vision.
I couldn't feel or see anything, but I could hear. I heard someone...crying? I think. It was muffled.
Why are you crying?
Because I...
Before the voice could answer, I felt something cold hit my face. It was cold and wet and somewhat soft, too. I tried to open my eyes, but they wouldn't budge. I tried again and felt my eyelid twitch. I slowly opened my eyes to pure whiteness. A white ceiling with white lights. That was way too bright.
I closed my eyes quickly and then reopened them. Slowly but surely, I adjusted to the light. I could hear a rhythmic beating. I looked to the side and saw a heart monitor. My eyes darted around the room, assessing my surroundings. I was in a hospital room, but where? Using all my strength, I sat up on the bed.
"Where am I?" I asked more myself, but someone answered.
"You're in the hospital," a feminine voice asked.
A petite woman with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a lab coat entered the room. She had a clipboard in her hand and a stethoscope around her neck.
"Who are you?" I asked wearily. "And where's my friend?"
I realized Theo wasn't there! Where was he?
"You mean the High Magus's son?" she asked.
I nodded.
"I don't know why he was with a girl like you, but he is resting in another room."
I stared at her. This chick did not just say that.
"Anyway, the alpha and luna have demanded your presence, so since you're up, I suggest you go to them," she stated in an overall tone.
I got up from the hospital bed and stalked toward the woman. Getting in her face, I said in a menacing tone, "Listen, bitch, first of all, I am your patient, and you don't know me. Say, I was someone of high authority, and you, a mere pack doctor disrespected me. Now, what do you think would happen, hm?"
She didn't say anything.
"Second," I continued. "the High Magus's son is my brother in spells, Theodore. So, if I were to tell him that you were being a bitch to me, then he would make sure you got what you deserved. Am I clear?"
She nodded. I could see the sweat pouring down her face. Looks like I scared her shitless. Suddenly, someone cleared their throat. We whipped our heads to see a young man with black, disheveled hair leaning against the doorframe. He wore a logo check mark shirt and a pair of jeans with sneakers.
"If you're done threatening the pack doctor, the alpha, luna, and the High Magus's son would like to see you," he stated.
I could tell from his aura that he was a high-ranking wolf. Probably the beta. I glanced back at the doctor, then at the werewolf standing in the doorway. I looked at the foot of my bed for my sneakers. When I found them, I placed them on my feet. Once I was done, I went toward the werewolf.
"Alright, let's go."
