Around 4:30 PM, the police contacted Dr. Gum-San.

Dr. Gum-San was working at the hospital at the time,
in the middle of conducting an important surgery.

By the time Dr. Gum-San arrived at the City Morgue
it was well hours after he received the call.

There, on the cold slab, he saw them.
His wife, Sui-Fan.
His daughter, Lily.
Lying asleep in their cold chambers.

Dr. Gum-San broke down. Wailing, howling,
over Lily’s body. Holding her in his arms.
Crying, tearing, choking. Praying.
