Walking through the field while looking at the distant town Hikami seems to be almost bored. By her side was the undead wolf. Leaving a trail of blood behind it as it walks. “You are just so gross.” She says as she looks at the hound. It has its tongue softly hanging out.
The hound makes a mangled and grotesque series of what seem to be happy barking noises.
“Dear me, I just. Oh dear.” She says she holds back a gag doing her best to look away.
“Even so you are the only company I have.” She states as she softly reaches out and runs her hands through its head. Its dead body producing no heat.
The hound wags its tail side to side. It is making shaky and unreliable breaths.
“Lucky how it appears to act much like a tamed household dog.” She commented. As she slowly retracted her hand once more.
“All right that is enough of that.” She says as what was about to be a longer monolog gets cut off.
The undead hound suddenly flares up with anger as it suddenly storms off towards Hikami’s left. “What are you doing!” She exclaimed as she would sprint off after the undead raging ball of bloodied fur.
In the distance not too far, she would hear the clashing of swords and combat, mere moments before she could see it.
She witnessed a battlefield unlike any she had ever seen. Then again this was a first.
She watched a group of four individuals clad in full plate armor, silver in its primary color with green dyed at all the joints. Among the four, one was wielding a shield and a mace, one held a sword in one hand, seemingly giving out orders, another had not but a large shield with the last using a large spear.
Outnumbered 8 to 4 the knights were fighting small green humanoid creatures. Dressed in torn and tattered clothing, the creatures wielded barbaric weaponry such as clubs and makeshift hatches.
“Oh! Those must be Goblins! Like those you find within video games!” She yells out almost excitedly before shaking her head reminding herself that this is reality and not some simple dream.
She reaches down to draw her blade as she looks to the undead hound. “Kill the ones without armor.” She speaks out her blade sliding out its scabbard.
Immediately the hound runs off. Although very clearly slower than they were initially it is still rather impressive.
The hound rushes down its unnatural barks of anger filling the air as one of the knights look over, the one with a spear adjusts it in the direction of the hound.
“Well, here I go!” Hikami exclaimed running into a full charge at the creatures identified as goblins.
The knight with a spear yells out to their comrades as they take a step forward, ready to stab Hikami’s hound. “What is this thing! Did the Goblins call for help?!” The knight exclaimed.
As the hound almost pivots on a dime leaping into the air where it opens its toothy and dreaded maw, wrapping it around the head of one of these goblins and clenching down instantly smashing the head of one of the goblins heads into pieces.
At the same time the knight with none but a short sword slash one of the goblins stomachs open. Speaking out in a exhausted feminine voice. “I do believe you are wrong there Jonathan. Let us trust it for now.” She says as once more addressed her attention to the immediate danger.
The knight with a shield blocks a goblins club as the last night with a shield and sword bashes the Goblin with their shield into the others massive shield seemingly stunning it for a moment. Leaving it vulnerable for the leader to take out with her sword to its eye.
Hikami finally makes it to the battlefield. Rushing to it she finds it difficult to stop her momentum getting tripped over by one of the goblins clubbing her knee. “Arh!” she exclaimed as a message appeared. “You lost 4 health!”
Sitting up she brings her knee to her chest as the hound almost as if instinctually runs in and attacks the goblin quickly overwhelming its club by repeatedly slashing at the goblin.
