They settled down and watched some Disney movies and then Lauren asked her mom, "Do you love Gary a lot mom?"
Lauren's dad raised his eyebrow as he looked at his wife with a question mark written on his forehead. She looked at him and nodded, indicating to him what she needed to answer and his expression cleared up and he turned back to Lauren. He looked at her curiously and then he spoke.
"Yes honey. Of course. He is a very sweet person and one of the kindest people that I have ever met." His mother replied and her smile became bigger as Lauren's dad nodded his head in agreement.
"You're married then." Lauren stated and her mom chuckled.
"Yes. And we decided to get married before your wedding so that there would be less complications and stress. We also made an agreement with your father that he wouldn't try to intervene if we decide to get married before yours and we agreed that we wouldn't get married in California and only Hawaii where we live."
"Didn't you want to move somewhere else after you graduated from college?" Lauren questioned.
"Not at all sweety. We love Hawaii just as much as we love San Diego. And anyway, we always promised each other and we always keep our promises, no matter what happens. So why would we change that now?" Their mom answered Lauren's question.
"That's true." Lauren conceded.
"And I know that you're worried about your sister, because we are too but we are fine baby and we promise that we'll never do anything that we wouldn't want to." Her dad told Lauren.
"Okay mom and dad. I believe you." Lauren replied smiling.
Later on in the afternoon, Lauren and her family went to pick up Ashley and they arrived at Ashley's home and the four of them entered her house. Lauren didn't feel like talking to anyone so she chose to go upstairs to her room. As they arrived at the house, Ashley noticed Lauren's attitude as they were walking towards her room and she immediately understood.
After dropping off Ashley and taking a shower and changing her clothes, she went downstairs in search of her dad, which she found him sitting on the couch watching TV, but as soon as he saw that it was her coming downstairs, he got up to greet her.
"Hey princess." His father greeted her as she approached him and then gave him a hug as he wrapped his arms around her waist, bringing her closer to him.
"Hi dad." Lauren said as she broke the embrace.
"Did you have a good sleep sweetie? Did you eat anything?" Her dad asked as he eyed her.
"I did. I ate some cereal and some toast." She replied.
"Well, that sounds good. Are you hungry anymore?" He asked hopefully.
"Yeah, I am a bit." Lauren replied.
"Come on. Let's get you food." He said and led the way to the kitchen where the cook was cooking. "How was your morning?" He asked, looking at her.
"Great." She replied honestly.
