Holden’s Story (in quarantine)

I woke up in the morning, the first day of my new all virtual school. I didn’t want to go to another goddamn school. I didn’t want it to be like a boring repeat of Pencey. I have no clue why we have to do this crap virtually. As long as we stayed inside nothing could go wrong right? Well, that’s what I think. At least I’m allowed to wear my hunting hat online. Goddamn, that was honestly the only good thing. I’m always too tired to attend anyways, usually only saying “here” in the chat then just playing some games with Stradlater. He always says that I’m gonna go down yet I always win. We played a couple games. Sometimes Ackley comes in to play but I make him turn off his camera, he’s so goddamn ugly with all of his pimples. Boy, Allie would have loved this, I’m telling you. He’d be the life of the party, he’d get a kick out of the backgrounds and filters. Stradlater found one that gives you a full beard and mustache and he puts it on every goddamn class. He’s not funny but sometimes I laugh a little I must admit. I guess another okay thing is that we get to sleep in but I don’t really care.
