Huguel is lonely, depressed and suicidal, Huguel lives alone in Jacaré do Sul, Huguel tries to kill himself several times but gives up soon after. He is only a few years older than his friends at school, but he sometimes thinks that they really don't care about him because he hasn't done anything interesting. He has never had good relationships outside of his family because of his depression, he tries to avoid his depression by hiding it and pretending everything is fine until one day everyone finds out and it gets worse than before. He doesn't want to be known as a failure and be judged by how he acts, Huguel wants to be recognized, Huguel wants to idolize him, and most importantly, Huguel wants to be loved.

He always tries to find someone who cares for him, but no matter how hard he tried, he was always rejected. Everyone seems to have their own reasons,

some just can't bear to see him, while others have other opinions about his condition. It's been nearly six months and yet he hasn't been noticed, or even acknowledged that he exists. He starts to get worried and feel useless as time goes by, he lies in bed for hours thinking about what to do, his mother opens the door to Huguel's room if patience is screaming, Huguel time to go to school for a walk! and then she would leave without saying a word leaving Huguel alone again, he feels useless. He knows it wasn't her fault for not wanting to spend money on him, he knew she was trying to protect him, but it still hurts, he hates seeing her worry, and he hates feeling worthless, especially when it comes to his mother, Huguel takes his things when he notices a penknife in the kitchen sink Huguel was bullied a lot because of his strange way so Huguel to defend himself from bullies took the penknife it is kept in his pocket, the blade is short but it makes him feel stronger. Huguel left and went to school, when Huguel is entering the school, the 5 bullies surround him, they start laughing and making fun of him as if he was already dead, he tries to keep calm so as not to let the bullying get to him, he can tell they are planning something behind him, Huguel turns around and sees them throwing knives at him, he tries to run away but the group of boys follow him, Huguel screams, he feels a sharp pain in his thigh when the boy kicks him, he falls and screams, Huguel begins to feel a sense of strength is hate is fury is savage, Huguel grabs the bully's foot, Huguel uses his switchblade and stabs the bully's leg causing him to fall, the bullies look at him in shock Huguel grabs his switchblade and looks to the bullies in front of him he starts running is towards them is jumping is at the bully is biting his neck is ripping his skin the blood is dripping it's dark it's cold the pain is terrifying the children's blood is flowing it's hot hot ho t hot. Bullies are afraid of blood, it's the red eyes that are shaking.

The bullies scream and run away from him, Huguel feels the adrenaline in his body, Huguel looks at the two bullies that Huguel killed, Huguel runs away from the place so no one sees him being chased by those bullies

It takes a moment for Huguel to register what he has just done but he doesn't regret it, Huguel smiles, he has run away, he is free, Huguel to come home is to lie in bed he will be loved Huguel will be accepted Huguel will love people he doesn't need anyone else , Huguel will get better, Huguel will be fine he has his knife in his hand he runs home laughing he is happy to finally feel free. Huguel looks at the sun, the other day Huguel is at school and the news of the 3 murdered bullies spreads around the school

Huguel look at the sun, it's the other day he was at school the news of the 3rd murder was spread around the schools he can't believe they were so mean to each other but now they're both gone, Huguel smiles to think he's happy he will no longer have to deal with bullies. Huguel sits on the bench next to the fountain he looks into the water looking at his reflection he hears footsteps coming towards him he turns to see a girl with pink hair and blue eyes she was wearing a white shirt with yellow polka dots on it and black shorts and black shoes. She had long black hair covering half of her face she walked slowly towards Huguel, she stopped right in front of Huguel and looked at him

she spoke in a soft voice "Hi"

Huguel blinks in surprise he doesn't think he's going to meet another kid today he thought no kid would ever get close to him he didn't know she was here, "Hey"

"What are you doing here?" she said sitting next to him, Huguel looked down with shame

"I'm thinking about life says Huguel, and why I'm here"

she smiles gently at him, Huguel smiles back looking at his hands, he sighs

she takes his hand, Huguel flinches he looks into her eyes they are green and warm they fill him with sudden hope, she squeezes his hand

she speaks softly "why are you sad?"

Huguel looks at their hands again smiling softly: "Why should I talk to you, you are not nice to me like everyone else"

She wrinkles her nose, "But you're nice"

Huguel laughs lightly, he doesn't think he's cool but he knows he needs help, "You're cool too"

she smiles, "Okay, I'll give you a chance, my name is Maribel and I want to be a friend"

Huguel smiles at her and nods his head.

she gives her phone number to Huguel, "Here call me if you need my friendship"

Huguel happily accepts: "Thank you, Marielle"

"I know I shouldn't call myself that, but everyone calls me Marielle, so why stop calling me that? My parents don't like the nickname, so I started shortening it a bit."

Huguel laughs at the nickname, Huguel looks at her and asks: "What does Marielel mean? Why would anyone shorten it"

She shrugs, "I don't know, but people usually shorten it to something nice."

Huguel laughs at the thought of someone doing this, Marielel is very original in her opinion, he has never met anyone like her before

Huguel starts to notice how beautiful she is, her hair is wavy and soft, she also has cute freckles dotting her face, her eyes are like the sun, her body is thin and delicate, he could stare at her forever, Huguel is so focused on watching her that he didn't notice that Marieel had fallen asleep, he is about to wake her up when he sees her face relax, it looks peaceful, it's so beautiful that he can't help but look any longer at her beautiful features,

Suddenly Marieel stirs waking up she yawns opening her eyes looking confused and sleepy, she looks at him with confusion and smiles slightly, she reaches out and hugs him, Huguel flinches at the sudden touch but soon relaxes, "Hi Marielel"

Marieel walks away, "Hi, Huguel"

Huguel laughs softly, this girl is strange,

she continues to hold him

Huguel looks at her confused. "There's something wrong?"

She shakes her head, "No, I just wanted to hold you"

Huguel raises an eyebrow, but smiles: "I liked it"

she smiles back

"Do you want something to eat?"

"No thank you"

Huguel nods, they sit in silence enjoying each other's company, Huguel watches her carefully wondering where she came from, why is she so different from the other kids in town?

They spent more time together until the bell rang for class, Huguel got up and left as quickly as he could.

"Wait wait!!"

He turns and looks at her, she gets up walking towards him, he stops and she stands in front of him, Huguel is stunned by her beauty he can't move his mouth, she holds both hands to his face covering hers cheeks, "Hugel? Are you okay? You looked kinda..." she trailed off not knowing the word to describe it.

Huguel smiles he thinks she's pretty, and she looks really nice

She leans close to your ear whispering in a sweet, loving tone, "Like a princess"

Huguel smells her perfume, her breath hitting his neck is intoxicating

"Huguel, you can come in, you know…" Marielel falls silent nervously.

Huguel comes out of the trance, looks at the floor, "Okay yes"

He walks away quickly

Marielle smiles at her retreating figure, he was so cute, he's really nice, she can't wait to spend more time with him, she hopes they can spend more time together.
