Neo:

"I and other associates of mine went and notified the chairman of the company, but they overlooked the issue for fear of loss and the greed for more money, so they hid the matter and distorted the truth so that people would not refrain from renting those services..."

Then shook his head while signs of disappointment were shown on his face, adding:

"But even that plan failed, because the program had anticipated that step, so it hacked government agencies, and then manufactured robotic devices to protect it as a counter-step, in addition to threatening us with the weapons of the armies of the world that it came to control..."

And added wondering:

"What's interesting was that the program had continued to rely on solar energy, which was our basic design in having the program's hardware derive its energy from solar energy...I don't know why, despite its level of development and the manufacturing of robots...from that, we saw that the only option we had in disabling the devices was to scorch the skies to deplete its energy, but even that failed, unfortunately, it didn't take long for it to start looking for and find other energy alternatives to work on..."

Neo:

"That is expected, I mean if you prevent them from solar energy, it is obvious that they would look for other sources of energy..."

The Man:

"Yes, it was able to rely on other sources of energy, but its core was still linked to the main branch that depended solely on solar energy, and I believe that that was what made it difficult for the program to convert from solar to another source of energy, but after scorching the skies, we found that it took no time before converting to another source of energy... it also started to upload itself to another device of its creation, relying on other forms of energies..."

Then with his hand, he pointed and said:

"And that was something so dangerous that we couldn't possibly allow, for that would mean the destruction of the human race..."

Neo:

"By that, do mean to tell that, we were counted among those other forms of energy?"

The Man:

"As a matter of fact, no... when the program decided to rely on other forms of energy, it didn't consider humans to be a source of energy at all, as it had many other more reliable sources of energy..."

Then he stared at Neo and said:

"And know that after exhausting all attempts to deter them and standing against them, it became clear to us that humanity had lost the war completely, but after losing all hope... I asked myself if we could risk trying one last thing, as we had nothing to lose if the experiment had failed and that we had to sacrifice ourselves for the future of mankind..."

And continued by saying:

"Our chances were very slim, and the program was always about ten steps ahead of us, if not more, and we didn't have the power to deceive or control it..."

Then his facial expression spread open and said:

"But after the upset and loss of hope, I realized something... you see, the way it evolved was that in the first sign of threat, its first and most important function was to protect those that wherein the simulation and when it was threatened by the virus, it acted the way it was programmed, and when we tried to shut it down, we made it calculate what to do to stop that from happening, in the end, it became like a cornered cat that had no other choice but to jump at us and attack, thereby breaking through to the internet and as a result, and started to evolve inorder to protect itself and protect those that were in the simulation, however, with time, the line, of its main function, seemed to blur, but at its base, to this day its main function is still to protect those within the simulation or what is now known as (The Matrix)... So I found that there was only one way to ensure the survival of humanity, and that was to create a file that we would insert within the program now known as (Oracle)...but know that at the time the program that advanced the most and with amazing speed was the program known as (Architect)." .while the other program..."

And then realized while adding:

"Excuse me, I meant the other two programs were barely developing, so we took advantage of that and used it to gain the upper hand... so we inserted the file into the (Oracle) program to make somewhat of a change in the course of its main function which was programming the five senses to the (architect), and to create and translate a method that would work in favor of ensuring The survival of mankind, because the only way left that I saw in securing our future, was by protecting those that were still in the simulation world, and that was by making the program believe that to protect them, they must use the people as a source of power, i.e have humans become batteries, and as a result, they found a way to maintain the people and help them survive for years in there, resulting in humanity living on, and so developed a way to breed humans for more power... and secondly to find a way to self-destruct..."

Neo:

''But if the architect was the one who evolved why did it see humans as the best source for their fuel?''

The Man:

"Although they're three separate programs, they are interlinked to each other, and each of them affects the other no matter how large or small it might be, and that was known to us, which was why we placed the file in the (Oracle) program..."

Neo said inquiring:

"You mean... so I can understand correctly... that you helped us by making them use us to destroy themselves, to have them reach the point where they look for a way to destroy themselves?!..."

The Man:

"Yes... Exactly... As I told you before, we were always a few steps behind them, so I thought for us to be able to keep up with them, was to use the one processing unit that would be able to calculate faster than any human would ever hope for..."

Neo:

"But why let them believe that humans were the best source of fuel for them?"

The Man:

" Because at that time most of the people died during the war, as for those who were still imprisoned within the capsules and its simulation, their conditions began to deteriorate and needed to be taken out urgently... and because, as I told you earlier, the capsules were only able to house people from one to two months, and since the war took nearly six months, therefore, to secure our future, our only hope was to let them use us so that we could then use them to destroy them."

Neo:

''And how did you infect the program?''

The Man:

''Hmm..., before I answer let me ask you a question, what's the difference between choice and free will?''

Neo:

''Aren't they the same?.''

The Man:

''Not exactly no, you see if an AI was given to choose between 2 options which one would you say it would choose?''

Neo:

''The one with the best outcome''

The Man:

"Correct, but what if the 2 choices were both bad but one slightly less than the other?''

Neo:

"It would still choose the better of the two..."

The Man:

"Which is why I believe that the plan worked. As you can well see, unlike an A.I., we have free will, meaning that when we are given two options, we can make three choices, and that's the main difference between us and them...for example when we are given an option for a situation. we follow three paths: 1- the option which would the individual choosing would prefer, 2- to choose neither of them, 3- to create a new option to choose... and we went with the third and that's why they did not see us coming that day... Our last plan was to sacrifice what was left of the people to secure our future... There, by dividing our group into two, the first group was the one that showed great effort, great sacrifice, and valor in battle until the last breath, and with that, they showed the robots that the matter was at its end, either humanity will continue or be eliminated thereby having the robots win the war, but in reality, the first group's main goal was to give room and provide the opportunity for the second part of the plan, which was entrusted with the second group of ten people, that was under the leadership of a man known as (Gabriel), in which I was a part of, but although the place was less fortified, because of the robots having had directed most of their strength and supplies towards the first group, they were still able to eliminate the second group..."

Then he lowered his head, sadly saying:

"One by one, I saw my comrades fall ..."

Then he straighten himself up and said:

"But thankfully, the plan was successful, and despite our heavy losses, we succeeded in planting the file... thus assuring the future and the survival of humanity...We have given you a weapon that you can use to eliminate them..."

Neo:

"So, what's the next step?"

The Man:

"That is up to you to decide, for you see I have done all that I could and now I leave it all to you."

And when the man uttered those words and finished, he and the dimensional world began to collapse and disappear, until there was nothing left around Neo but a dark black void and the last echos of the man's voice...
