“Hey, so how has your day been so far?” I ask Sasha whilst walking.
“Well, not very eventful but still fun, knowing that it's your BIRTHDAY!” she says sounding dull at first but then after each word hyping herself up with full-blown excitement for the word birthday.
“Aww you're too cute man, but have you met the transfer student yet?” I say sweetly, curious if she’s met him yet just to make sure she hasn’t decided on not liking the poor dude.
“Nope?” she replies.
“Well he's gonna sit with us today, he's our new friend,” I state as if she’ll just agree with me instantly if I say it like it’s nothing.
“Wait what, is he at least a nice person,” she asks concerned, with a new random individual sitting with us today for lunch and suddenly now our friend, like a friend-friend that now sits with us and will become part of the group type of concern and shock all at once, considering that we don’t really consider much people to be close to us like we are.
“Do you think I'd let just anyone sit with us, especially if they're mean?” I say reassuringly, trying to ease her concerns and worries that I know she’s probably overthinking it all in her head.
“No,” She says with an exaggerated sigh.
“Then see you have nothing to worry about,” I say in a sweet tone.
“Ok,” she says, sounding calm and less worried.
“Oh hey, there you are” I hear Peter say as he walks towards where we’re sitting.
“Hey, you've found us, this is Sasha, my sister,” I say, introducing Peter to Sasha.
“Woah really, you have a sister?” he says shocked but yet in an amazed tone.
“Well no, I have a brother, but she's my best friend, she's basically my sister and I consider her family,” I say nonchalantly.
“Oh cool, hey Sasha.” He says as he greets Sasha in a charismatic tone.
“Hey, so how's it been, being in a new school?” she replies in a calm manner.
“Well it's been an experience that's for sure,” he says.
“Hopefully all good,” she says.
“Definitely.” He replies enthusiastically, as we all eat our food before our break ends and our next lesson begins.
(Anastasia's pov)
Finally, it's the end of this exhausting day, now I have been waiting for Sasha outside our school doors, how long can she possibly take, does she know we need to make it in time as moral support for Peter, I mean he's trying out for the team today and we said we'd be there for him!
“Hey, sorry sorry I know I'm late, I just had to hand in some projects,” she says as she finally got to the school doors.
“It’s ok, come on we've gotta go before we miss it,” I tell her reassuringly, trying to rush to the game, hopefully before it starts.
We run to the field and spot Peter instantly, we seat ourselves on the stands, and Sasha takes out a banner we made for Peter, we're not allowed to make noise for practice though, in case it throws them off the game, I know it's silly but they say that, instead of saying don't make noise because some people can't take no for an answer when they don’t get accepted to be in the team and use excuses like they distracted me, I know lame right.
We unravel the poster that says "you got this Peter yay" and hold it above our heads so he can see.
Tryouts are over and we eagerly wait for him to tell us if he made the team or not.
“Well tell us, did you make the team,” Sasha says enthusiastically.
“Well, I don't know, does Anastasia want to know?” He says with a smirk playing off his face.
“Oh I know what you're doing, of course, I wanna know, we both do, the suspense is killing us!” I say with a playful tone, knowing exactly why he didn't tell us straight away.
“Well, if you must know” he pauses for a few seconds, and suddenly bursts out the words “I got IN!!!” with a full-blown burst of excitement.
Sasha and I both scream in excitement over Peter's accomplishment.
“We’re proud of you, well done.” She says with a huge smile gleaming off her face, clearly indicating how happy and proud she is of him.
“This calls for a celebration,” I added right after Sasha’s congratulations, also really proud of him for making the team.
“So pizzas at your place then?” Sasha says, looking at me with full of excitement.
“Definitely,” I say, reciprocating her excitement.
We all drive over to my place and order pizzas in celebration of Peter making the team.
Sasha and I both enter the house in a sing-tone manner, singing “guess who got accepted in tryouts and now is part of the soccer team, this guy, yaya" we pointed towards Peter as we said that.
Whilst Apollo is looking all confused until he actually sees a guy enter the house and then realization sets in.
“Oh hey, well-done dude,” he says slightly in an awkward tone, not really having expected me to bring anyone else home beside Sasha.
“Thank you, there was very good competition though,” Peter says sweetly.
“Well we knew you were gonna make it either way,” I say, feeling confident that he definitely would’ve made it no matter what.
“Wait so does that mean you're gonna take part in next-next week's game?” Sasha asks as she realizes what this might mean.
“Yip,” Peter says in a nonchalant tone.
“Wait so this also means that for all the games you attend we have to be there supporting you?” Sasha says this in such a way like she’s putting together a puzzle.
“Well I'd hope so,” Peter says sheepishly.
“Wait what, for real, like every single game, even practice?” I say finally understanding why Sasha was asking those questions like she was solving a mystery, us going to his games will take up some of our free time.
“Haha, no silly only the matches, not the practice but if you guys want, y’all can come when I'm at practice as well,” Peter says sweetly.
“Maybe just the matches then, and occasionally if we feel extra, then some of your practices,” I respond sweetly, still wanting us to support our friend, I mean we should always be there for each other no matter what.
“Ok, thank you,” he says wholeheartedly.
