"Anastasia wake up" I open my eyes slowly adjusting to the brightness of my room and see a smiling Sasha in front of me.
"Finally you're up" she moves away from me walking, towards her clothes she has clearly already laid out for today, "I thought it was gonna be a mission to get you up later today so instead I decided to wake you up a bit earlier, you know just so we're not late" she states.
I lift myself out of bed clearly annoyed that I've been awoken early for no reason. "You know I probably wouldn't have made us late to meet up with Peter today, especially if you were rushing me," I say staring into her ocean-blue eyes.
"Oh well, it's fine you're up now anyways," she says as I head into the bathroom to brush my teeth, I finish off with a rinse of my face and look up at the mirror above the bathroom sink just to make sure there's no toothpaste on my face, I then proceed to take my hairbrush and stand in front of the mirror to brush out all my knots and tie my hair in a high ponytail.
As I
exit the bathroom I see that Sasha is already dressed and ready to go,
wearing her blue converse, black jeans, and her baby blue shirt, before
she says anything I quickly say "I know you're done and I'll be ready
in five minutes".
"Okay cool," I hear her say as I take out my black converse shoes, grey leggings, and my black shirt.
Once I'm done changing and ready to go downstairs I hear Sasha ask if she should leave her hair up or down, "honestly it's up to you, your hair looks great in a ponytail and great when it's loose" I turn around to fully face her looking at her red hair, her facial expression clearly indicating that my input wasn't very helpful, "You could leave it loose but I don't know if your hair gets knottier when it's loose compared to being tied up" I shrug and begin to walk downstairs with Sasha behind me.
"ah hey sis, I'm shocked you're up so early," Apollo says with laughter in his voice clearly knowing I did not wake myself up!
"Yea well, enjoy your morning run, you're gonna freeze outside dressed like that" I respond hoping he gets a bit cold for enjoying the fact that I had to get up so early, but I mean really he is gonna feel a bit cold, he has his white tank top on and his black running shorts and shoes, he'll definitely feel the icy wind hit his skin as he runs.
"No I won't," he says, "that's why when I run ill create body heat which will keep me warm," he says adding to his sentence and ending it with his childlike facial expression of him sticking his tongue out as if he's made a point.
"Hey Sasha, sorry you had to watch me school my sister like that," he says in a teasing voice, "Your hair looks nice loose, good choice and on the bright side at least it will keep you a lot warmer unlike someone here," he says, his head nudging in my direction as to say I'll be a bit colder just because my hair is in a high ponytail, "Ahh thanks, that reminds me I have to get my hoody" I run up the stairs to get my hoody to make sure I'm not too cold, "Sasha do you want a hoody too!" I yell to her from upstairs, "No, I'm fine!" she yells back. I make my way downstairs with my hoody on and see that Apollo has just quite literally left to go for his run as he closes the door behind him.
"Come on, let's go too," I say eager to go to the park now.
I park my motorbike and Sasha and I head toward the swings.
We've been swinging for a while now, admiring the trees, and saying which cloud looks like a dog or anything we can imagine it to look like. I honestly love coming here, don't ask me why but it brings back nostalgic feelings from when I was younger, I suppose that's also why I love only one picnic spot under the tree, I just remember playing here with someone in my much younger days, it was with Apollo, mum, dad and someone else I just can't quite remember.
My thoughts are broken as I hear Peter shout "Hi guys, why are y'all so early" he continues walking towards us.
Sasha and I get off the swings and meet him halfway. "Hey, we just decided to come a bit earlier," Sasha says with a smile on her face, "Yea, you know, because it's nice getting up super early on a cold day to come to the park extra early," I say to Peter, Sasha clearly knowing the sarcasm behind it.
"Okay, well I brought a ball thinking you guys might wanna play some soccer?" Peter states but looks as if he's asking.
"Sure," Sasha and I say in unison.
"But won't this be a bit unfair, because there's not enough of us to make a team" I look at them clearly seeing by their facial expressions they didn't think of that.
"It's fine, I'll be my own team and you guys and be a team," Peter says, which honestly would kinda seem fair since he actually plays the sport and we don't.
"I was gonna suggest that we play as individuals instead, like every person for themselves but if you wanna play like that I'm perfectly fine with that," I say, looking at him directly.
"It's up to you guys, I'm honestly fine with either option" he states looking and both Sasha and I.
Sasha and I look at each other, "I think it's fine if we play teams" Sasha says and I nod in agreeance with her.
We begin to play...
We are about 30 minutes into the game and so far we're in a tie, which is honestly good for Sasha and I because that means we're not losing but I also think Peter is trying to be a good friend and letting us 'tie' to him.
We call a time-out because honestly, all this running is making us tired, sweaty, and thirsty. I take off my hoody and tie it around my waist as I start to feel way too hot in it, and now I'm actually grateful for the slightly cold breeze that comes every now and then.
I look at Sasha knowing we're screwed because we didn't bring any water with us! We both look at Peter with his big bottle of water, clearly having come prepared. We walk up to him, sounding out of breath from all the running, and ask if we could have some water, and thank goodness he's such a good friend and pulls out 2 bottles of water from the backpack he brought.
We take a 15-minute break just to catch our breath and get our energies up again, then we begin the next match.
As we're playing Sasha suddenly looks stiff but tries to hide it, which makes me confused. I call a time out to Peter and approach Sasha to ask her what's wrong or if she wants to take a break.
"Nothing's wrong, I'm fine," she says, still not sounding convincing. Her eyes keep on flicking past me over my shoulder and then quickly back at me, now knowing she's looking at something I turn my head in the same direction she's looking and instantly see them!
I now realize why she seemed stiff but didn't say anything, she didn't want me to notice they were here and wanted to continue playing without any issues.
"Hey, I know I should've probably told you they were here when I saw them but we were having so much fun and I didn't want to spoil your mood," she says, "Hey, it's okay" I reply smiling at her, at how sweet she is just wanting us all to have fun and trying to not spoil my mood, she's honestly the greatest, "I only called time-out because you looked stiff and because I thought something was wrong or maybe you wanted to take a break, I even thought you pulled a cramp but wouldn't say anything just to continue the game," I say laughing "I'm glad you're okay though and don't worry about them, they can't spoil my mood, I'm hanging out with my friends and I'm having fun"
I look towards where Peter is standing to check if he's ok and then I look back to Sasha "Wanna win this game?" I ask her, "Of course!" she says, excited to get back into the game and hopefully beat Peter.
We resume the game... and you wouldn't guess it... but... we beat Peter!!!! Even if he did let us win it's fine because it's still a win!
Sasha and I start cheering and everything, so happy that we won, that my excitement can't help but make Peter laugh and be happy for us.
"Well done guys, you two played well today," he says, smiling.
"Thank you" Sasha and I say.

“You’ve gotta be kidding me” I mumble to myself, I mean really, why every time we decide to go to the park and take a break from gaming do we somehow manage to go the same day she’s here!
“Oh damn bro, do you see who’s here,” Luke says as he finally sees who I saw a few seconds ago!
“Yea, I know, they’re here again” I reply to Luke’s comment.
“Well look on the bright side at least we brought a ball this time,” he says, sounding proud of us that we actually remembered to bring a ball this time.
“yea but look, it’s not just them this time” I nod my head toward their direction “ they’re playing with some guy” I state, looking over to Luke to see if he has anything to say.
“You’re right, if only there was an extra person then we could have played with them and created 2 teams,” he says seeming sad that there’s not an even number for us to all play.
“hey, doesn’t that guy look familiar?” I asked, moving on from the fact that there’s no chance of them even letting us play a game with them, even if that strangely familiar guy was not with them we wouldn’t have even had a chance to play because I know she probably hates my guts from our first encounter.
“HEY, you’re right!” Luke says loudly as a look of realization is spread on his face, pulling me out of my thoughts.
I look at him waiting for him to tell me his discovery “ … and why am I right” I question waiting for him to give me the answer as he continues to study the familiar guy.
“is he not in their school?” he asks
“ I don’t know, why would we know that,” I ask more questions, still not being able to fill in the gaps that Luke clearly has puzzled together.
“Dude
I think that’s the guy you were getting jealous over when that girl
was cheering for him at our match, he’s the team we went up against and
lost to” as Luke says all of this it finally dawns on me who that face
is!
It's Peter Stein, of course we’d know he is, every team always does research on their competitors players, especially if it’s a new entry just so we know our level of competition.

“Hey, you’re sure you don’t wanna stay over again?” I ask Sasha as we make our victorious walk back to my bike.
“Yea, I’m sure,” she says with a smile on her face as she continues, “I mean my parents won’t be gone for long and I’ll only be home alone for a few hours, so I’ll be fine”
“Okay, but I’m gonna miss having you around so often” I reply.
“I’m not going somewhere far away” she laughs as my comment clearly sounds like a small child.
“Yea, I know” I swing my arm across her shoulder as we continue finally reach my bike.
“So we'll get your clothes from my place and then I’ll go drop you off?” I ask her before hopping on the bike.
“Yea, sure” she replies.
