DINNER IS THE MOVIE
The brothers are in pure shock. Despite the delicious meal laid in front of them, the boys refused to make another move. They watched patiently until the huge figure decided to approach the dinner table.
“Why is Bossman naked, you guys?” Jay whispered to his brothers, on the verge of crying from anguish.
“This is how he likes to walk around his place.”
“Now shut up until he speaks, or you’ll get yelled at for talking out of turn,” Jey warned, shielding his virgin eyes.
The Bossman’s naked body stood solid and tall holding dessert in his hands. His huge afro grazed the ceiling above him as he placed the dessert and took his place at the head of the table, lighting up a cigarette before speaking with a deep voice.
EAT.
The Jey and Jey started eating like they hadn’t had a meal in days. Jae was fulfilling his needs with just a piece of bread as he grumbled to himself. The loud noise of his obnoxious brothers’ eating frenzy fed the fire in his mind. He gritted his teeth with frustration. The growing annoyance finally sent him to his limit, causing him to verbally explode.
“Damn it!”
“We almost had them, but that bitch gave us the slip!”
Jey and Jay suddenly stop eating and stare silently at their screaming brother. Bossman didn’t seem bothered by the disturbance as he slowly whispered a puff of smoke into the silent air. He flicked his cigarette on a dish.
“I mean, we had everything set up perfectly, but that bitch ruined everything! Yeah! We did our research perfectly, but we didn’t expect REDHOT to be that swift and clever!”
“She attacked our men without even breaking a sweat as if she was enjoying it! She outsmarted our men, and we have to accept that,” Jey said, trying to smolder the fire in Jae.
“No! She might’ve outsmarted you guys, but she didn’t outsmart me! Jae argued.
“Look, we got owned. It’s okay,” Jae assured.
“I refuse to accept that!” Jae said, standing up.
Jae started to dig into his back pocket. He pulled out the knife he used at the grocery store during his fight.
“See this, it’s blood! I got her when she kicked me to the ground. Now she can’t get too far away without needing to see a doctor eventually.”
“How do you know she didn’t already notice the mark and got it looked at?” Jey wondered.
“Because she is trying to hide that part of herself from her little friend, and having a cut would only leave questions that she doesn’t want to answer, “ Jae explained.
“I remember,” Jay said, “she mumbled a name.”
“I think it was….Ummm…Mika!”
Bossman opened his eyes suddenly as soon as he heard the name. He looked directly at Jay.
“Mika?”
“Yeah, she mentioned the name before she started fighting the henchmen,” Jay said with conviction.
“Did you see her friend?” Bossman asked.
“Not until they got away on the motorcycle,”
“What did she look like?”
“Curly, blue afro with some interesting-looking silver earrings that looked like they were glowing,” Jay thought.
“How did you see all that?” Jey asked Jay.
“I have good eyesight, and I noticed all of the things that you guys ignore. You guys need to give me more credit for what I can do,” Jay bit his bread and sipped some wine.
“Oh yeah?" Jey argued, all I ever see you do is whine and complain about being hungry.”
“And you sound like a hater!” Jay grumbled while drinking his wine.
Bossman rose out of his seat.
Jey and Jay suddenly stopped their bickering.
“Ummm, Bossman? What’s going on?” Jey asked.
“Yeah…what’s wrong?!” Jay worried.
Bossman’s voice grew deeper as he spoke.
“I never gave you any order to harm REDHOT.”
Jae glared into Bossman’s eyes, noticing his right eye glowing bright. He started to stumble over his words.
“I did…did what I had to do, man! I…I was caught up in the moment, and…realized I needed to make a move to slow her down!”
“You didn’t follow my rules and don’t think you deserve to be punished for acting on your own?” Bossman's voice grew more profound.
“Ohhh, since it’s your little girlfriend, you want to stick to the rules for once? Since when do you follow the code, Bossman? Since we’ve been chasing this little traitor, we’ve been in more trouble than it’s worth! Don’t you understand how annoying this damn ordeal has been for us!”
“Calm down, Jae!” Jey pleaded.
“Yeah, this is Bossman you're talking to! You need to choose your words carefully,” Jay warned.
“No! I’m sick of this shit!” Jae roared in anger.
Bossman suddenly stood up out of his seat. He slowly walked towards Jae, holding his knife with Nieko’s blood. Jae looked slightly nervous as he stood his ground, trying his best to not show any fear. Bossman suddenly and vigorously grabbed Jae by the neck and held him up against the wall. Bossman spoke with bass in his voice.
“I don’t know who you think you are talking to, but you're starting to piss me off. I will have no problem breaking my foot up in yo ass. So you better show me some fucking respect. Do I make myself clear?” Bossman said, awaiting an answer with a strengthening chokehold.
Jae looked Bossman in the eyes, clenching his fists.
“Jae, say yes and stop being so stubborn all the time! That’s why these things always happen to you!” Jey argued.
“Yeah, I hate when you guys start throwing hands like this, it always breaks my heart,” sniffled Jay.
Jae started to lower his guard and comply with Bossman.
“Yes, Sir. It won’t happen again,” he said, averting his eyes away from the group.
RING! RING! RING!
Bossman’s phone started to ring in the kitchen. He stared at Jae for a moment before dropping him to the ground. Bossman made his way to the kitchen in silence. Jae coughed as Jey and Jay ran to Jae’s aid.
“Why do you always push his buttons like that?” Jey asked with a worried look on his face.
“Yeah, he has always taken care of us, but you constantly make him upset with your impulsive actions. Why do you always have to make things difficult!” Jay said, on the verge of tears while light punching Jae’s arm.
Jae said nothing while he looked down, annoyed by the recent altercation. He frowned up and clenched his fist once again.
“They’ll never understand me.”
Bossman eventually answered the phone, finally ending the endless ringing. Everything was quiet for a moment. Bossman hung up the phone and returned to the dining room area, still fully exposed.
“We have new orders from the Tha Higher-Ups.”
“Eat your dinner and get your asses ready!”
Bossman said with a deep-calm voice.
“Yes, Sir!” The J-Trio said in unison.
