EMOTIONAL XPLOSION
Silence flooded the arena, and even the sound of music from the loudspeakers ceased to exist. Everyone was as quiet as mice in the whole dome.
Mika sat shielding herself with her arms, eyes closed shut, bracing for impact. Her eyes suddenly opened. She is surprised that her body is still able to function normally.
“I’m alive? I’m still here?” Mika said while vigorously checking her body for any hidden damages.
She looked out to the crowd, noticing everyone’s eyes were in awe and suspense.
“What happened? Why is everyone so shocked?”
Mika turns to face her opponent. She slowly turned around and noticed a massive indention in the cage. It was Trixa, fixed deep within the iron bars of the ring.
“How did she get like that? Did I do that?”
“Ummm….She’s not dead, is she?”
Mika walked closer to see if Trixa was still breathing.
Trixa suddenly twitched, causing Mika to run back to the safer side of the cage. Trixa peeled herself from the cage bars like a piece of taffy stuck to the concrete. She turned to Mika with eyes of confusion and anger.
“How did you do that?!”
“Do what?”
“That stunt you pulled a few minutes ago! I didn’t know you knew how to play dirty, princess!” Trixa grinned.
“I’m not sure what you're talking about. I’m not even sure what playing dirty even means in this situation!
“Well, you're not going to get the best of me this time, you little cheater!”
Trixa charges at Mika again at full speed.
Meanwhile, footsteps are charging down a dark corridor, followed by catcalls and whistling.
“Hey lady, slow down! The fight has already started. How about you come to hang out with us?”
The guy blocking the way is met with a quick roundhouse to the face.
“Sorry, you were in my way!”
The runner continued down the hallway towards the bright lights of the double doors.
“That’s weird. Why is it so quiet?”
Busting through the doors leading to the bright lights, the assailant immediately screamed into the arena.
MIKA!
Mika’s attention went directly to the dome entrance, discovering a familiar face.
“Nieko?”
Nieko’s eyes grew big.
“Mika! Watch out!”
Mika whipped her head towards Trixa. Trixa is already too close for Mika to run away.
“Oh, No!”
Mika stood frozen with her eyes fixed, hoping for a miracle to save her from death.
“Now you're gonna die this time!”
Trixa swung her giant arm toward Mika. The crowd gasped with amazement.
“Mika, No!”
Trixa’s hit created a powerful rush of wind, overwhelming the crowd. After the dust had cleared, Trixa grew confused, noticing her attack was not landing on Mika.
“What…what is happening? Why can’t I crush you?!”
Mika opened her eyes and noticed a nice-sized, chiseled back standing right in front of her.
“Wait! It’s you! You’re protecting me!…. Right?”
The figure swung his arm, creating a protective bubble around Mika. The shadow figure turned around to look at Mika. He crouched to his knees, bowing, then looked into her eyes.
“Thank you, my princess, for trusting my energy. I am grateful to serve you.”
“Princess? Princess who? Me?”
The shadow figure stood in front of her and held her hands.
“I will always protect you, just as I always promised.”
Mika stared back at him, speechless, as her heart beat out of her chest.
“What is happening right now? Is he for real? He’s that shadowy figure that always followed me around, but I thought he wanted to take me away from my soul or something. He’s telling me that he’s here to protect me? And what does he mean by princess?!”
“What is going on!” Mika yelled out loud.
She then looked around to see the crowd filled with confusion. They’re all whispering, glancing at Mika and pointing to Trixa.
“What is wrong with them? Don’t they see him too?”
“Mika, what is going on with you?” Nieko thought with an eyebrow raised.
“Could it be?! Did she lose her last earring?!”
Nieko squinted her eyes to try and get a better view.
“I need to get her out of there before things start to get bloody!”
The crowd suddenly started to shout in excitement.
DID YOU SAY BLOODY!!
HEY, REF, TURN THE MUSIC BACK ON!!
THINGS ARE ABOUT TO GET BLOODY!!
The crowd started to get wilder from the announcement of the one basic person mentioning the word bloody out loud. Nieko was annoyed by the sudden uproar.
“Damn it! I need to get down there and fast!”
Nieko started shoving people out of the way as she headed towards the ring below.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I CAN'T EXPLAIN WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE RING, BUT TRIXA MUST BE BLOCKED BY SOME UNKNOWN FORCE. SHE CAN'T SEEM TO GET ANY CLOSER TO THE NEW CHALLENGER AND LAND A HIT! WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN WITH THIS MATCH!
Trixa continued wailing against the invisible force, trying her best to maim Mika again. She started to become very pissed and frustrated.
“Nobody makes a fool out of Trixa Tha Terrible!! I am going to destroy you!!”
Mika stood looking with her head tilted.
“She kind of looks like a giant, angry green troll.”
“Wait! Can you defeat her…ah…Ummm. Wait, do you have a name or something, Mr. Shadow Guy?”
Mika turned around and was met with the strongest pecs she’s ever witnessed.
“Kai.”
“Kai, huh?”
Kai kneeled before Mika once again.
“Will you stop doing that! It makes me feel weird.”
“What would you like me to do, my princess?”
Mika felt dazed for a moment, staring at his presence. She shakes her head vigorously.
“Woah, I felt lightheaded for a second, and how are you doing this?” Mika gazed at the forcefield, successfully preventing Trixa’s punches.
“I am here to protect you, my princess. My skills are much more developed than her caveman nature.”
“Hmmm, he’s strong and funny,” Mika chuckled.
“MIKA!”
Mika turned around and noticed Nieko near the cage...
“Nieko? Nieko what are you doing here? How’s your leg? You should be rest—”
“I’m fine! Mika, we need to get out here fast!”
“What do you mean—”
“You need to get out of there quickly, or things will start to get very dangerous!”
Nieko looked Mika in the eyes with a face of distress.
“Woah, I’ve never seen Nieko so worried before.”
“Okay, I’ll figure something out!” Mika yelled over the obnoxious cheering.
HEY! THEY'RE PLANNING TO ESCAPE!!
The Basic Person snitched to the rambunctious crowd...
“You know, you're really starting to piss me off!” Nieko growled. The guy backed away from intimidation.
The crowd started to get upset as someone attempted to grab Nieko, preventing her from escaping. She began to fight off her assailants.
“Mika, hurry, please! Things are starting to get crazy!”
“Ummm…Kai, we need to do something to help Nieko and get out of here!”
“Nieko?” Kai said, twitching and swaying his head.
“What’s happening now? Kai, are you okay?!”
Kai was on his knees, screaming louder than the crowd, causing everyone to stop what they were doing and look at the cage.
“What is that sound?” Nieko wondered.
Kai started glowing and screaming louder.
“What’s wrong?“
Mika screamed, walking closer to Kai as he started to glow brightly. Kai continued to hold his head and scream louder.
“Kai, please!”
Mika attempted to touch him to try and console him, but Kai’s glow overwhelmed the room with a bright flash as everything became flooded with light.
