UNINTENTIONAL REALITIES
A meadow of yellow flowers and black grass. The sky is an intense violet, decorated with plenty of stars, like freckles on a rosy cheek.
“Huh?”
“I’m here again, except things seem a bit different.”
Mika started investigating the surrounding area.
Once distorted in chaos with separating plains and dark clouds, the world is now painted with tranquility. Amongst the flowers and gentle wind, Mika spotted something familiar.
“Is that who I think it is?”
A butterfly fluttered down a path under a cascading waterfall, creating a serene vibe. Mika followed close behind.
“Where is it headed? Is it guiding me somewhere?”
The butterfly disappeared through a water wall. As Mika passed through the wall, she did not get soaked from the water. She realized the corridor she had just walked through had vanished.
She was now standing in a room with a giant screen surrounded by a waterfall with a crystal ball. Upon it sat a hooded figure, slowly revealing its face to Mika.
“Thaspirit! I thought that was you.”
Thaspirit stood up and spoke cheerfully to Mika.
“I see you’ve made great progress. This place became more stable than the last time we spoke. You should be proud of your progress.”
“So we are in my mind again, and I must be dreaming in the regular world.”
“Well, it’s more like we’re in your cognitive state, and you don’t have to be asleep to get here. Although you seem to have the power to come here easier than most, which makes me curious.”
Thaspirit appeared next to Mika, gazing at her attentively.
“Anything happened to you since the last time we spoke?”
“Did anything happen to me?”
Mika pondered nervously as she tiddled a flower.
“Oh yes, Kai helped me realize a glow in my belly.”
“Kai, huh? Did he happen to mention anything about a jewel or a Krystal?”
“Yeah! Kai mentioned an earring that he wore, saying it connected us together. He also calls me princess, which I still think is pretty weird. But I’m not sure what this means, and neither did Kai. I was hoping you be able to help us.” Mika confessed.
Thaspirit retreated from invading Mika’s personal bubble, walking towards the giant window. With a wave of their hand, the window changed to clouds looming over an open sea.
“You wonder how Kai’s jewel is connected to the glowing in your belly? Yes?”
Mika nodded as she carefully followed Thaspirit into the cloud scenery.
Thaspirit appeared behind Mika, facing the same direction. Mika jumped from the surprising occurrence.
“Do you see that ball in the distance? That is the Krystal located in your belly, cracked and flickering. That is also the reflection of this world we’re currently in.”
“What’s wrong with it? It didn’t flicker when I was with Kai! It felt so bright and warm.” Mika remembered.
“Precisely. This Krystal is your connection to each other and the key to remembering your past. You must regain your true light to find your truth and remember your purpose.”
“But what about Kai? He also has trouble remembering any of his past. He’s just a spirit. He can’t do too much on his own. How can I also help him?”
Thaspirit looked at Mika with a smirk and raised an eyebrow.
“What? I have this strong feeling of wanting to help him, even though I barely know anything about him. It’s a gut feeling.”
Thaspirit chuckled.
“You're as selfless as always, Mika.”
“But it seems your Kai’s problems are of another energy, and there isn’t much I can do about it. I’m here to assist you.”
“Well, then, how can I strengthen my light?! You say we’re connected by the light inside me, right?!”
Thaspirit smiled.
“Now you’re starting to ask the right questions. But to heal your light will require something greater than normal meditation. ”
“I’m not sure what you mean?”
“Mika, have you ever heard of the Krystal of Sovanna?”
“Krystal of Sovanna?”
After Mika said those words, the world suddenly turned pitch black. Mika couldn’t see a thing.”
“What happened?! Thaspirit! Are you there?!”
Mika felt through the darkness aimlessly until she made contact with a wall a few feet in front of her.
“Where did this wall come from?!”
“I swear these cognitive moments are worse than my actual amnesia. At least I didn’t get vertigo or severe headaches due to these chaotic episodes.”
As Mika turned around, she noticed a dim light flickering down a corridor. The corridor was damp and moist like an evening summer day.
“I’m really not understanding what this place is or how I even got here….”
She suddenly came across the source of the flickering light. Something was lying underneath the beams on the tiled flooring.
“Now, what randomly placed object could that be?”
Mika walked closer to investigate.
“Wait a minute….”
As Mika looked closer at the body, her eyes grew big once she realized what was lying before her. She ran on the wet tile with hast, unfortunately crashing a few feet from her destination.
“Owww, I need to make sure. No time to whine!”
She quickly crawled to the body and confirmed her suspicions. She held the lifeless body in her arms with tears flooding her eyes.
OMU! NIEKO?! NIEKO TALK TO ME!!
