While I was trying to collect myself after the first attack's shockwave, the hobgoblin did a side swing with his stone axe, I tried to block it with my staff but the sheer power behind it sent me flying through the building wall. The collision with the wall dazed me a little.

This was the first time something took that many health points out of me. I got back up and rushed at him at full speed, the hobgoblin did the same. We started exchanging attacks.

With each collision of our weapons, there was a deafening sound. All I could hear at that moment was the sound of our weapons striking each other. After around 2 mins of this, my staff gave up and was split in two. The moment that happened the hobgoblins axe came straight down at my right shoulder. There was no way for me to defend against the oncoming axe, so I did my best to tighten the muscles around my shoulder and left rest to my vitality and defense. While this was happening I recalled leveling up once before and had some free attribute points, I asked the system to put all my free attribute points on my defense. I didn’t have time to open my status, this was all I could do.

The axe came down straight and went about 1 inch deep into my right shoulder. I am sure I felt some serious bone-breaking sound, thankfully it was only a stone weapon, or I would have had to say bye-bye to my precious right hand.

But while his axe was stuck at my shoulder I stabbed the remaining half of my staff into the hobgoblin's heart. The hobgoblin coughed out blood right at my face, which was kind of gross, so I pushed him down and took his axe out of my shoulder.

Believe me that pain was real. it felt like being chopped with an axe, which literally happened so it was much more painful.

I could not endure the pain, so I sat down on top of the hobgoblin's body.

With the increase in the level of pain tolerance, the pain was fading away little by little. I was starting to feel fine again. I looked over and saw that the others were also about to finish their fight. I was a little spectacle about them being able to handle 4 goblins together but, they were able to handle it. Although they did suffer some injuries, they were able to finish the battle without any casualties.

I looked over to the gashing wound on my shoulder. What shocked me was, there was no more bleeding and the wound was starting to heal. It looked as if the wound was 2 or 3 days old.

With all this fighting my clothes were a mess, they basically looked red and green. My shirt was torn in multiple places and was looking like a wet rag at this moment. So I tore it open, it was better to go shirtless rather than walking around with a blood-shocked cloth.

This was the first time I was looking at my body's transformation after my level-ups. Although I felt the changes before, but what I looked like completely shocked me. I could see abs instead of belly fat. My body looked like that of a bodybuilder. It was almost as if I was Arnold in his prime. It didn’t look fake as the massive bodybuilders this day, it looked as if all my body was just hard and big muscles.

I wanted to wash my face of all the green goblin blood so I went to the administrative building's bathroom, there was a mirror there. Taking a good look at myself, for a moment I couldn't recognize myself. Although I was not fat before, I was a little cubby and my fluffy checks were the proof of that. But now the person I was looking at in the mirror had a chiseled jaw, and for some reason, my hair grew a little too, it was reaching my neck.

I didn’t really hate the look, damn I was looking handsome. If I was not wrong I was also looking a little taller I was not really sure of it, but it seemed like I might have grown an inch or two.

After cleaning myself I went and picked up the hobgoblins axe. I was missing my lovely staff but this had to do for now.

The axe was heavier than it looked so I tried to see what was up with it by using identification on it.

There was an infirmary near the administrative building. It was only around 20 seconds away from where I was. So I went there alone while everyone else was checking on the administrative building to find something useful since all of the 5 administrative staff in the building were killed by the goblins. Right now the most important thing was food and I also had to take care of my wound. Although it was healing I didn’t want it to get infected.

While in the infirmary I found some medical alcohol to clean my wound and some bandages to cover it. I also found some cookies. I ate a cookie from the packet. This may be the last cookie I will be eating. At least this is the last cookie manufactured if the rest world was facing the same thing we are facing right now.

I returned to check on the others, I saw one more person in the group. It was the principal, his office was close to the administrative building, the guy was able to close the doors in time and survived the goblin attack.

We looked for every useful resource we could find, food was of most priority. There was some more food available in the infirmary and some in the principles living quarters. The principal actually had a small room to stay in the school, I was always wondering what it looked like since this was the only place I have not seen in all these years I spent at this school.

What I saw was a little underwhelming. I was secretly hoping it to be a sex dungeon or something but it was a super bland room with a few chairs, a couch, and a bed.

With everything gathered, we didn’t even have enough to feed one classroom of students. And there were around a total of 400 people at the school, minus around 100 or something that we lost at the hand of the goblins.

With everything gathered, we made our way back to the school ground. The ground was not as crowded as I assumed. I could see some of the students inside the classrooms surrounding the school ground. But there were still around 60 or so people sitting on the ground. They even got rid of the corpses, there were still blood stains on the ground but it was better than looking at dead bodies.

By the time we got back it was starting to get dark, it was probably around 5 pm.
