The decision was to spend the night at the school, but it was not going to be an easy night without food. Water was not an issue since there was a water hand pump in school. Most of the students were not ready to drink unfiltered water but there was no other option.

And without electrically there was no way to store the water easily, it had to be done manually. The hand pump was right next to the infirmary, so if someone wanted to get water, they had to go as a group.

There were some students and teachers who wanted to go home immediately, I saw them having a heated debate with the principal, demanding him to get them to their home safely. A lot of people also started to demand the awakened group of people escort them to their homes. Some students and teachers came to me and asked about escorting them back to their homes, saying that I had to take responsibility and whatnot.

I decided to ignore them and moved away from the school ground and went towards the left side of the school to be alone. I found a classroom without any dead bodies and decided to take shelter inside it.

I didn’t check my status after the fight with the hobgoblin, so it was time to check on the rewards.

The thing which I was most excited about was the rare skill I got for killing the hobgoblin.

The reward was for killing the field boos, and I was the 2nd person to kill one on the planet so that meant there were stronger people out there. I thought my stats were broken because of Unwavering Body but there are people out there strong enough to do the same as me.

From what I estimate it would have probably taken around 60 or so Lv 1 awakened people to even have any fighting chance against the hobgoblin, even my win against it was because I caught it off guard.

Let’s check what this new skill is.

It was a great skill for me right now since I didn’t invest many points on agility. If I had this skill while fighting the hobgoblin the result would have been much different. There was the 1-minute cooldown but I didn’t have to worry about that if I was not fighting some absurdly strong monster.

I decided to upgrade Haste to level 2 with the 1 skill point I had.

The system is really stingy when it comes to upgrading skills, I will just save this skill point for later since I only needed a few more experience points to get to level 6.

The one thing that was bugging me the most about my status was the class, it had a none on it. I was still not sure how I was supposed to get the class.

“System, why does it show none in my class in status?”

System: “That’s because you don’t have a class!!”

I know that you stupid system just tell me how to get a class!!

System: “You can choose your class at your first evolution at level 10”

After checking out my status, I decided to rest my eyes a little and laid down on top of a desk. I was not able to sleep, thinking of being attacked by some monster when I was asleep. I still decided to keep laying down on the bed, from the noises that were coming from the school ground they too were not able to sleep.

I was trying to figure out what the system did by recalling all the knowledge I had about the games I played. The thing that I wanted the most was the inventory.

“System is there an inventory”

And there it was, a blue window with multiple empty slots. I tried putting my axe inside it and the axe disappeared in thin air. When I thought about getting the axe out it appeared back in my right hand.

After that, I tried asking about multiple things like shop, settings, quest, gold, etc. But the system only responded to the gold.

System: “Gold can be earned by selling monster body parts to the Adventures guild.

I got no answer when I asked the system about the adventures guild, so I just decided to collect every monster body I killed from now on.

In the middle of the night, I could hear howling and roaring noises coming from the hill behind the school. This made me realize that although the school was secure for now there were still monsters outside and if I didn’t keep on leveling up, I would end up being eaten.

With this thought in mind, I decided to use the school as a resetting camp and go out and hunt monsters outside. My goal for tomorrow was to start moving toward the local mall. Normally I it was around 20 minutes walk away from the school, but with overgrown trees and plants, plus the lovely monster, I was not sure how long it was going to take.

While thinking about random things I fell asleep, and woke right around dawn when the sun was starting to rise.

After getting up I washed my face and freshened up, and got ready for a new day. I was feeling a little hungry but it was still bearable, hopefully, I could find food today at the mall.

Before going out I went to check on Walter and Lily and say them about my plans of going out. I was not able to meet them yesterday after the hobgoblin hunt because of the crowd.

I saw the awakened teachers standing guard with their makeshift weapons. Some of the students were lying on the grass sleeping, and most of them were just sitting and talking with each other.

I went straight towards the classroom where my friends were. I was feeling a little awkward since everyone was wearing the school uniform and I on the other hand didn’t even have a shirt on plus my pants were torn. If I didn’t have the muscular bulky build, people might have considered me a hobo. When I went to Walter the guy didn’t even recognize me for a moment.

Walter: “Dude how the hell did you get so off buff in one day, did you take some kind of steroids? Hey did you even get taller…”

Walter came and measured his height against me, although he was shorter than me before too, the difference was not much. But now he was reaching around my neck.

Walter:” Dude this is not fair, you are way above 6ft(182cm) now, that’s just not legal dude”

After teasing him a little more about him being shorter than me, I told him about my plans to go to the mall.

Walter:” Hey my house is on the way to the Mall, I am coming with you”

“Walter it might be dangerous, and you still are level 1”

Walter:” I have to check on my family man, come on”

“Alright get ready, pick something up as a weapon we are leaving in 5 minutes”

Lily: “I want to come too!!”

“Well I guess two is better than one, go find yourself a weapon”

Both Walter and Lily found the legs of a broken chair to use as clubs, and with that, we were ready to set out for the mall.

I was opening the school gate when one of the teachers came and asked us what we were doing.

Walter: “Mr. Erick we are going out”

Mr. Erick: “You can’t do that”

Walter: “Mr. Erick we will be safe, Robin has already killed a ton of monsters”

While I was trying to open the gate, Mr. Erick came grabbed my hand trying to stop me.

Mr. Erick: You have to stay here and protect us.

Now that started to annoy me, I didn’t feel obligated to protect anyone.

“Why don’t you try and fucking stop me!”

After saying that I took my axe out of the inventory and slammed it onto the concrete ground. This startled Mr. Erick and he fell on his back, he was too scared to say anything else. With this settled, we made our way out of the school gate.
