Year 3027, Month December, Day 26, Time 6:32

The trees around him have grown taller over the years and the sunlight filtering between the leaves makes it hard for him to see clearly. He keeps walking toward the sun until his eyes adjust and then he looks up at the sky and lets his feet guide him. At first, his steps seem clumsy, unsure of the path ahead, but after a while, they become less and less hesitant and finally smooth out into a steady pace that allows him to walk faster, faster, and faster, used to the terrain after years of living on the planet. He's gained much and lost many, yet he still has the other astronaut who he works with, and has yet to hear a noise from her even a year after the crash. She must be tired still, after all these years, working at the bottom of the ship. She is a really friendly person, everyone knew of her before they all died.
