I heard a voice yell, as I walked to class. I slowed down to listen to the conversation, my curiosity egging me on. As I slow-walked past other classes, I stopped, when I heard the voices coming from the stairway. I hid behind the corner, intriguied, by the voices. Until I realized something. 

As I pondered my creepy decision, I heard the voices at the stairway, getting louder, as the girl's voice got even louder. I silently listened, my thoughts about making the wrong decision, flying away.

"He broke up with you!" I heard the girl yell angrily. "I told you he was bad! You shouldn't have hooked up with him! He's a dick! He doesn't do shit, and then he cheats on you! Fuck him! I should go kick him!"

I heard the girl stop for a breath, after her screaming bout, only to start yelling again.

"I bet he only want someone with a big ass, and big tits! I bet, he didn't even appreciate your cuteness, and decided to chase a girl, with boobs that could suffocate him in his so called 'heaven'!" The girl kept hurling insults at the not present boy, her screams of rage slowing down.

The girl then starts muttering incomprehensible words to herself. As this happened, I started hearing another girl's voice, start to gasp, as she tried to breath, while crying.

"Uwah...that girl certainly has her soul broken..." I though to myself. "But WAIT- why am I still listening!"

As I tried getting away, I peeked a glance at the two girls. One was standing up, on the bottom of the stairs, and she had, long brown hair, and was an average height. The other girl, was crouched on one of the stairs, her head buried in her arms, and her hair was pulled into twi tails, her hair a lighter brown. I inferred that the one crying was her.

I quickly went to class, one of the last people to come back, and was greeted by, Mei.

"Hey!" I greeted her, as I sat down in my seat. I pulled out  my stuff, to prepare, while she pulled a chair over and sat across from me, while resting her head on my desk.

"Hey, Akari, I feel bored." She whined to me.

I answered back with a quick, irritated reply, "Why? Are you bored of me?" I asked.

"No..." I heard Mei reply softly. "I just wanted to hang out together after school..."

I immediately felt bad. But at the same time, my heartbeat quickened. "I really am messed up." I thought. "I'm getting excited because she's sad, and when she's sad, she cute." 

I sighed to myself, trying to bring myself back. I felt a pang of guilt and worry, overtaking my excitement.

"How about we hang out after school today?" I asked.

Mei immediately raised her head and stared me, happily. "Are you sure?!" She asked, "Like really sure?!" Her eyes, gleamed happily, and her happy face, made me unable to turn her down. I mean who could even resist such a face.

"Of course!" I replied, in turn, while smiling at her.
