Nothing has really happened today so I’m just going to explain more about how our house and world works. It’s a pretty big house with three floors, though one is technically the attic, the bottom floor has stuff like the kitchen, the living room and the dining room, basically all the shared spaces. The second floor has the kid’s bedrooms as well as our en-suits (yes it’s fancy lol). Our rooms are perfectly set up with a mini fridge, a microwave and lounges so we could hypothetically live in them if we wanted to. The top floor is Sally’s bedroom and before you’re like “oh she gets the whole top floor, how selfish” remember that after the bottom floor, the roof starts slanting, making Sally’s floor the smallest and just bigger than the kid’s bedrooms. Sally doesn’t have all the ‘homey’ stuff that we do because it’s her house and she can use everything whenever she wants so she has her office up there, where she runs her delivery apothecary business from. I haven’t mentioned that so I’ll just give you the brief. In our backyard Sally has a huge garden with everything from fruits and vegetables that she uses in her cooking to magical herbs used in potions by wizards and sorcerers and also just people who use potions as a way to perform magic, like Sally. Tomorrow I plan to spend the day helping around the garden, planting stuff and harvesting. You know what’s funny? The geography of the land of writers and stories. Because here, there is no space, there is no sun, there is no rotation of the planet. Scientifically, our world makes no sense, the entire thing is held together by the magic of stories, and the greek gods, mostly the greek gods. But this means the seasons are magically generated and are the same for the who;e world, meaning you can go anywhere and the season will be the same, meaning we have to figure out how to grow certain key crops in seasons where they’re not meant to grow. Right now it is winter (it’s going to be my first white Christmas btw) and things like tomatoes and citrus can’t grow. So, instead of being just, without those crops, most people resort to magic to keep their plants alive, with domes of sunlight for summer plants and domes of clouds and snow for winter ones, but Sally keeps her summer plants inside in winter, with balls of sunlight floating around for photosynthesis thanks to Alodos, And. It. Looks. Amazing. The living room looks like a jungle, with all plants on every surface, except the dining table, which is a clearing in the forest. Admittedly, I haven't seen it without all the plants, as it is still my third day here, but I still love it. When Ebony and Alexis are ready they’re going to take me down to the village that’s closest to the house, Navyshire and we’re going to go shopping for decor for my room. I put together a pinterest board for the aesthetic and it’s going to look so cool.. Anyway i’m going to go get Ebony to hurry up because she always takes so long to get ready.
Adios, Mars
