[Belle]
I'm walking in field of flowers. It's sunny and the weather is warm. A few butterflies land on my arms and shoulders making me giggle. Running through the flowers, I noticed that my feet are bare, and a yellow sundress hugs my skin. The muddy earth warming my feet. I run for what seems for hours until, I came to a stop, when I hear the faint crying of a child.
I call out to them, "Hello, can you hear me?!" I'm sprinting now worried that the child might be in danger, the open field carrying my voice." Where are you?!" I'm running so fast that I accidently trip over my feet, hurling myself harshly towards the ground face first. It hurt badly. Standing up I dust off my yellow dress then wiped my face with the back of hand. I gaze around me trying to her the crying, but it was silent. Deathly silent. "Hello?!" I call again.
Nothing.
Strange, I could've sworn I heard it coming from-
Then I hear it. The crying and it was closer.
I jog this time, until I can make out a young girl in a white dress, curled up in a ball crying. She looked familiar, with her bouncy dark hair, and brown skin. From this angle she looked like me, but I wasn't sure. I approached her cautiously, not wanting to startle her, then frighten her away. Once I'm a good distance from her I clear my throat. " Are you lost hun?"
The young girl lifts her head.
My face pales when I see her eyes. They're a soulless kaleidoscope of black and grey hues. "Yesss I am losst." She said reaching for me. I take a step back. The girl frowns. "Don't run away, I need your help to find my mommy."
"I-i don't know who y-your mommy is." I stammer, feeling my heart accelerate a bit.
Something was wrong.
Something was very, very wrong.
"Of courssse you do." She argues taking a step towards me, I take another step back. " We ssshare the sssame mommy."
I frown shaking my head, "No we don't."
"YESSS, WE DO!" She shouts angerly. I flinch not only when I hear her menacing shout, but the rows of sharp teeth lined in her mouth. Suddenly the young girl lungs at my arm catching me off guard. Her nails dig deep into my skin drawing blood. The girl laughs evilly. " We have the sssame mommy! We have the sssame mommmy!" She continues to shout repeatedly.
I shake my head covering my eyes, the wind now blowing harder than before. The once sunny day turned grey and gloomy.
"Make it stop." I whisper to no one in particular. "Make it stop."
"We have sssame mommy!" The girl continues to chant. "We have the sssame mommy!"
I shake my head. My head started to pound against my skull. " I SAID MAKE IT STOP!" I shout tears shrimming down my eyes, then everything was silent.
Still.
The girl was gone, and the field of roses.
Everything was replaced, by mirrors.
Shattered glass mirrors.
And I stood in the middle feeling broken and confused as ever.
