The students gathered in the Gym as the Principal went to the speaker. “Students! As you know we are halfway through the school year, so we decided to host a Battle Of The Bands!” The Principal announced as the students cheered “The Battle will be held in the Auditorium in three weeks! So get your bands ready!” Mal, Savannah, and Aven rushed to Thai Go, their favorite restaurant after school. To their surprise, Sasha, Anne, and Marcy were there! “So I think Heartstomper is our safest bet for the Battle-Oh! Hi guys! Are you guys here to decide about your song for the battle?” Sasha asked. “Well we already have! The Angel Beetles are playing ``You've Lost That Amazing Feeling``!” Savannah said. “We’re simply here for the spicy food challenge! Aven’s been preparing, right Avenova?” Savannah replied, nugeging Aven. “Yep! I’ve been eating jalapeños for a week! I’m prepared.” Aven said. “Welllll Ok….BUT! Anne has to video-tape you ‘kay?” Sasha said. “Ok!” Aven replied “MOM! We have a challenger for the spicy food challenge! Get the plate ready!” Anne screamed. A few moments later, the food came as Anne started to video-tape. “Hello fellow viewers! We have a competitor for the spicy food challenge! You know the rules: Finish your dish without anything to cool you down, that means no water until the end!” Anne said “On your mark, get set, GO!” Aven chomped the food down while Mal and Savannah cheered her on. And soon the plate was empty. “I-I can’t believe it!” Anne said in shock “We have a CHAMPION!” Anne raised Avens hand up as Mrs. Boonchuy handed her a glass of water. “Congrats! You’ll now be on the Champion Board!” Anne said.
