He wiped his face and sighed "Sup Compadre."
Onix looked surprised, then he slightly frowned, "Can I come in? I wanna talk."
Agate nodded and walked into his room, flopping down onto his bed. Onix followed.
His room has the same yellow walls that are shared throughout the entire house. Posters of many famous rock bands are plastered all over the walls. A stand where his Hummingbird guitar sits next to the desk in his room where papers are scattered about song ideas all across the desk. Stray pens sit scattered on the desk, many of them half or just empty. Cute collectibles of animals litter the room and the shelves he has lining the walls. Pictures of Agate and Lexion hang up on the walls of the room, a pin holding them in place. Colorful bead necklaces Agate made as a child hang from the ceiling around his bed, many of them are old and rugged from years of them. Onix walks over to the bed, the soft carpet supports his large lanky body. He sits down next to him and keeps his hands on his lap.
"Okay now. Talk to me okay?" Onix said softly.
Agate sniffed and kept silent for a while before speaking up, "I just- I just miss him okay? I wish he was here and just- not missing." He started to cry more before looking at the photo that sat on his bedside table. It was a picture that they took on Lexions birthday. He's wearing a pastel pink long-sleeve shirt with a white thin turtle neck-like shit underneath. A pastel bumblebee-colored jacket hangs off his arms and baggy light pastel blue jeans. A bright smile filled his face as he had his arm around Agates shoulder. It looks silly since Agate is taller and has a soft lovable grin on his face.
"Life is so unfair! Why did- why did he have to go missing!? Of all the people who could have?" He whined as he turned his attention back to Onix who looked upset and overall just apologetic.
He quickly gave him a hug, one strong enough to crush bones, but loving and kind. Agate sniffled and started to cry more, shoving his face into Onix. His tears soaking into his soft long sleeve shirt. He rubbed his back and let him cry.
"It'll be okay Agate. Be strong, or be soft. But whatever you do, never lose faith." He said in a low soothing voice, "You are a strong boy, with a heart of gold. I know it's hard now, but It'll get easier I swear Agate. I swear."
Agate felt his chest tighten from the stress and his eyes going red from the tears that burn his face. He's tired of all of this. He nodded and held tighter on him. He's tired of feeling like he's losing his friends. He's tired of his love being lost somewhere god knows where with no leads at all. He's tired of feeling left behind with his friends.
As Agate cried Ruby came past the door and looked in. Onix looked at her and gently shook his head. She looked at him and then Agate, a sad face crossed her face and she gently left the entrance of the door. Onix focused back on Agate and gently held him while he cried.
After a while, Agate fell asleep on Onix's shoulder. He gently laid him down on his bed and got him tucked into bed. He stood up and left out the room and turned off the light. As he gently closed the door ruby stopped him. The worried look still plastered on her face. "Is he okay? He- he was crying pretty hard."
Onix sighed, "He's...he's going. He's quite stressed and, all the things that have happened aren't happy." He said with the same soft tone as always.
Ruby frowned and lowered her voice slightly, "I feel really bad... Like, were there really no leads? Nothing at all? A kid just can't up and fade away like that."
Onix started to mess with his locks.
"Onix. There was something wasn't there?"
"Yes...but its clearly fake..."
Ruby gave him a look as if saying to spit it out already.
"Well...in the area, they think he might have gone missing. They found large circles where the grass and plants were burned away."
Ruby looked at Onix and sighed. "Yeah. It...it was good that you didn't tell him this..."
"...I know its... inappropriate to ask but... are we still going out?" Onix said sheepishly, clearly ashamed of his question.
Ruby check the time and nodded. "If we can hurry up and get ready then yes."
Onix smiled slightly and gave her a light peck on the cheek. "We better hurry then." He smiled and walked off to the bedroom to get dressed.
Agate startled awake to the sound of the front door closing shut. His eyes are heavy from sleep and the tears he shed a while ago. He sat up and stared out the window next to his bed. The night sky was shining through the trees that gently shook in the wind. The stars and moon sparkle and illuminate the night sky. He got lost in the dazzling wonder of the night sky when his phone went off. He glanced at it and saw that it was Jade. He picked up his phone, his eyes quickly burned from the brightness of the screen. He turns it down and opens her texts. He got multiple texts since he left the diner. First many of them asking what his problem is, then to her asking if she did something wrong, then lastly her aggressively apologizing for every little thing she did in hopes that she guessed what made him mad.
He sighed and before he got a text from her and Carnelian. He checked what Jade texted him.
"Pebble. Im sorry that I upset you. I. You know Im not the smartest when it comes to something like this. If. If I said something that upset you you gotta let me know. I know your mad at me but please at least don't ignore me. Please. Im sorry."
Agate teared up and went to check what Carnelian sent him. He had lots of missed calls from him and his texts to him these past few hours is a mix of worry and pure unrivaled sadness and regret.
"God. Im so sorry Agate. I- I just realized what we did to upset you. And god- Im so sorry. I realized way too late and Im. Please when you read this please call me. I hate apologizing over text."
Agate started to cry as he set his phone back down on the bedside table. He curled up under the covers in his room and sobbed. He loved his friends but it hurt reading their pleas and worries. He cried his eyes out once more, his actions not matching the feel of his room. Eventually tiring himself out, he fell asleep. The food he wanted to eat sat cold and soggy
