The letter written was written in tight fluid lines like what you would find in the original notation of Bach.
It read as follows.
Dear Madame.
I come bearing good will towards you from both myself and your most wonderfully generous friend Mrs. Eleanor E. Smitt, from Melbourne, who has informed me, of one of the most gifted authors of this age. I have found this, upon my own personal correspondence with your attempted publishers, to be more than delightfully true. As Whatever they have failed to see in your exquisite talents I have found a thousand-fold. I will be arriving at your domicile at boarding house 1 Pleasant Rd. Tiverton Massachusetts, between 7, and 8 pm, your time.
I hope to find that you are home, we have much to discuss.

It was only later on in my far more ripe years that I would find out this would become one of the longest running Hotels in the history of the united states, and where several great minds would ultimately meet, expressly for the purposes of making history what they willed. However as of that moment, all I knew was that, that was where a most intriguing person presently lived. It would only be after all the history books were written by these same wills, that It would begin to sink in, somehow, regardless of why or what I thought then, for some reason, greatness lay beyond those doors.
Again, and again, and again I read over these words, trying to decipher their intent, but like some type of strange firefly at the edge of my ability to reason, the why escaped me. Still it wouldn't hurt to meet with someone who could help me, money or not, advance my career to a lofty yet still reasonably paying pursuit.
