Lachlan had told her that her form was as functionally human as he could make it, plus “some extras” like a lack of visible ageing and heightened muscle efficiency. Still, she was not all human, as evidenced by her large horns, but she had never felt that different from them.
One more was all she needed, and he would come back for her.
She sat back down, her jaw set. If only she had half the confidence of Evelyn Winters or Hana Mūto…perhaps she would ask Lachlan to take her to visit after this was all over. Whenever it was she came out, at least.
Whether they got there or not, it was all up to her now.
