Cairo

I stand on guard with the frying pan, turning slowly in a circle. They’re not going to get me now!
“Heh, suckers,” I chuckle. I realize that I haven’t laughed, or really thought about anything except for Jasmine, ever since I thought she...
No. I can’t think about that right now.
So far, so good. The coast is clear, and there’s no sign of any guards, or Calipso, coming towards us.
Just as my hopes begin to rise again, Jasmine runs outside, dragging a ginormous sword behind her.
“We have to go, Cairo! Now!!”

“Ro, I don’t have time to explain! Come on!” I grab him by his frying-pan free hand, and begin to drag him out.
“Are you okay?” he asks, with a look of worry.
“Yes, I’m fine! But we both won’t be if we stay here for any longer! Come on!” We both begin to sprint, darting through hallways, making random turns.
Suddenly, I stop. Where are we going? It’ll do us more harm than good to roam around this place like idiots.
“Why’d you stop?” Cairo asks.
I voice my thoughts to him, and he nods in agreement.
“So, what do we do then?” he asks.
“Well, Cairo...”
He looks at me expectantly.
“The only people that know the way out of this labyrinthine jail are the guards... and Calipso.”
