I look at Jasmine like she’s crazy... because she seems to be.
“Guards?! CALIPSO?! You must be kidding, Jas. I thought I was the one that made jokes around here?”
She rolls her eyes.
“Jokes? Cairo, listen. Does it look like I’m joking? I mean, how else do you propose we get out of here?”
I mean, she’s right. But... how are we going to do that, without ...getting killed?
“I have a plan.”

Cairo stares at me. “And what would that be?”
“Well,” I reply. “Calipso may be willing to... bargain.” I pull the sword in front of me, it’s gleaming blade reflecting light in Ro’s eyes.
“For a sword? Jas, they probably have thousands of-”
“Golds made out of pure silver and gold? I don’t think so.” As I predicted, a look of shock overtakes Cairo’s face, and his eyes go wide.
“Pure silver and gold?! But Jasmine, how do you know that?” He grins. “I mean, I know you’re a princess, but I didn’t think that princesses could even know what pure silver and gold looked like!”
I roll my eyes. Here he goes again, with the stupid jokes.
I can’t deny that they give me a sense of normalcy, though. I'm definitely glad that we're back to the way things used to be.
