Beaten almost half to death, the old man Folke barely managed to escape the full force of Elijah's last attack. Crawling out of the forest, Folke was losing a lot of blood and was not healing. As per the orders of General Vander, he came after the target K1 immediately so nobody knew where he actually was.
"If only I had told someone of my whereabouts," stuttered the white haired man, "To think I would die without anyone even knowing it. I at least wished I could have told someone what I know. There are two Halves."
"Mr Folke?" a younger voice could be heard, "Did Vander send you here?"
Hearing the voice gave hope back to Folke as he looked up to see who it was. Surprised by who he saw, he said, "9th general Nomrick? What are you doing here?"
Nomrick, Mona and another Sentient found the Half dead Mr Folke during their attempt to search for the Half that killed Nino. "Don't worry about that right now. We are just happy we found you," explained Nomrick compassionately, "What happened to you?"
"I was defeated in battle though it is entirely my fault as I vastly underestimated my opponent," Folke explained, looking extremely disappointed in himself.
Mona dropped down to look the old man in the eye and asked, "Who was it that attacked you?"
"Mona, now is hardly the time for us to worry about something like that, first we need to make sure Mr Folke is alright," Instructed the general as the other Sentient grabbed Folke by the shoulder to lift him up.
As he got up, Folke couldn't lift his gaze and stated, "It... it was the escaped half, K1. Because he was a half, I expected an easy victory, however that fight was nothing but easy. It was entirely my faut that I ended up like this."
"The Half did it!!" exclaimed Mona with a sense of urgency, "Where did he go?"
Nomrick yelled in anger at Mona, "Now is not the time to talk about this stuff, Mona! We need to first make sure Mr Folke is safe!"
"He... went in a more Northern direction from here, but I doubt he would have gone directly straight," Explained Folke as he tried to alleviate this sudden tension, "But there is something you all should know first."
Mona bolted North before Folke could finish his explanation. Using her powers to enhance her speed she swiftly made her way out of the forest. She understood that the Half she was looking for would not have stayed going one direction and since a couple of days had already passed, he would probably be really far ahead. He wouldn't have expected to be followed so he probably didn't go as fast as Mona was currently running. Banking on that thought she focused her energy solely on her speed to make her go even faster and hopefully catch up to wherever the escaped Half who killed Nino and almost killed Mr Folke could be.
"Come on Seth, let's get Mr Folke some help... quickly," Nomrick said to the other Sentient as he sighed at Mona's hasty actions.
"But... wait General Nomrick," Said Folke, "There is something you should all know!"
"Relax Mr Folke," Nomrick shunned, "You can explain the rest when you are healed up."
The other Sentient carrying the elder looked at his superior and asked, "What should we do about Mona?"
Nomrick remained silent before replying, "She went after the Half even though I clearly said not to. She is still young and needs to learn the consequences of disobeying her commanding officer like this. And besides, even if she needs help, she can always use her Astral Communication to call us."
The other Sentient simply nodded as he and Nomrick switched positions and the general took a hold of the dying old man.
Folke grabbed a hold of the general and said," It's Okay if I die, but you all need to hear this information. It will cause a lot of problems if no one knows."
Nomrick comforted Folke, "Please don't say that, I will not have someone I care for die in front of my eyes. We will get you back up and running, Mr Folke."
Although Mona had left a short moment ago, she had quickly made a lot of distance between herself and where the other three Sentients were. As the sun slowly left the sky, Mona slowed down her pace when she saw what seemed like a ruined city west in the distance from her. Trying to conserve the rest of her energy, she slowly made her way to that ruined city. She definitely felt a pressure inside of the city, but decided it was better for her to rest and regain her energy before confronting the Half. While in a sort of half sleep through the night, Mona was woken in the morning by a sudden pressure of energy coming from the Northern edge of the city. Mona thought it was best to take a more stealthy approach when investigating the burst of energy. Quickly following the aura to its location that ominous pressure suddenly vanished, but Mona continued on the path she was headed. As she got closer to where she assumed the Aura came from, she saw two people leaving the ruins to the East and Mona followed them suspecting one of them to be the Half she was looking for. While stalking the two people, she suddenly felt the same aura and pressure she felt back then, again. Leaving the Sentients she was stalking, she went the opposite direction to where she felt the energy. The aura she felt led her to a partially destroyed building and assumed the Half that killed Nino was residing within it. Surprisingly she heard two voices so she hid behind the building.
Jesse remained silent as he watched Victor leave the building a second time. Without turning, Victor said, "Goodbye Jesse. May we meet again."
"So your name is Jesse?" asked Mona, perched on the building wall too impatient to wait any longer to confront the Half , "Since we are doing introductions, my name is Mona. I finally found you."
Jesse turned to see who it was and he was instantly drawn to the blue coloring of Mona's hair. A Blue haired female Sentient. A Midnight Blue haired female Sentient. Several thoughts flew through Jesse's mind at that moment. It was her! She was the monster that killed his mother. She was the monster that killed the Humans in his troupe. She killed Jesse's mother. He knew he was too weak to actually hurt the Sentient, but in a fit of rage he grabbed his knife from the floor and threw it to her. Mona dropped back down to the ground and easily avoided the knife. Mona remained cautious as to not get blind sided by that explosive attack he used last time.
"Who are you?" asked Victor when he noticed a military issued badge on her uniform.
"This does not concern you sir," Mona said to Victor, "Please just get away from him. Now!"
"Alright," Victor agreed as he walked away. Jesse was dumbfounded at Victor when the man spoke to Jesse, "By the way Jesse, when I said I didn't care about Humans, I meant that I didn't care whether they live or die. The affairs of Humans is no way my business"
Victor left the building and left Mona and Jesse behind.
"I knew it! All you Sentients are the same." This dark blue aura began surrounding Jesse when he spoke to himself in a fit of frustration, "You Sentients are all monsters. You killed my mom and you wanna kill me too!"
Mona stepped back, but was against the wall and Victor turned to see the dark blue aura surrounding Jesse get stronger. "All you monsters ever do is kill us humans. We struggle to survive because of you people."
Mona's eyes and crystal glued the midnight blue of her hair when her body was surrounded by an aura of the same color. Blue crystals grew around her body and she covered herself for protection. Fortunately for Mona, she successfully covered herself with the crystals. Jesse screamed as he exploded and destroyed the entire building knocking Victor into the neighboring ruined building. Mona was unscathed as she shattered the crystals protecting her.
While Elijah was looking for Jesse, he found two Sentients leaving the ruined town.
"The plan is simple alright," said a tall Sentient with dark green hair and a tattoo of a snake slithering up his arm, "If Python asks what happened to his body, we just say that we killed him beyond recognition."
Another slightly shorter man with no hair and a nose ring who also had a snake tattoo climbing up his arm said, "That does make sense to me."
Elijah walked up to them with his face covered to prevent them from seeing he has no Sentient Crystal. The two Sentients assumed he was a Sentient as well and greeted him.
"Hey guys, who exactly were you talking about back there?" asked Elijah, still covering his face.
"Hey Sealy, is he with us?" asked the one with the nose ring to the other as Elijah walked into their conversation.
"I don't know," Green hair responded. He then proceeded to ask Elijah, "Hey, you with the Snake faction in the rebels?"
Elijah just nodded and said, "Yeah sure I am. So who were you talking about back there?"
"Oh, Sealy and I just took out this uber powerful guy and he is beyond recognition!" exclaimed the Nose Ring guy, "I thought that Mosrin guy was supposed to be tough. He was so easy to beat up."
Elijah asked, "There wasn't anyone else around here right? Maybe another guy, slightly taller than me, Brownish hair?"
"Sorry guy, we haven't seen anyone like that. But if he is also with the Snakes he must be going back to base right?" wondered Sealy.
"Oh yeah, the base of course," said Elijah, "Where exactly was the base again?"
Nose ring man watched Elijah in confusion, "What do you mean? Don't you know where our own base is?"
Sealy also reacted and asked, "Who even are you? Where is your snake tattoo?"
Elijah let out an anxious chuchkle as he quickly said while taking a step back, "Actually, I think I remember where it s now! You guys can go now!"
Sealy stepped towards Elijah as he said, "Alright, we'll go once we see your Snake Tattoo!"
Sealy grabbed Elijah's hand, but his aura surrounded it and he pulled his hand away from the Sentient. Elijah sighed as he said to himself, "I really was never able to act!"
Elijah jumped back as the aura surrounding his hand, covered his entire body. He pushed his hands into the direction of Sealy and the Sentient with the nose ring. Moving the air around the two Sentients, they got blasted away.
Sealy quickly got his bearings back and yelled," Nose Ring! Looks like we're fighting again today!"
The Sentient with the Nose ring got back up and said, "That's not my name!"
Sealy ran around to Elijah's left side while Nose Ring's Sentient Crystal began glowing a crimson red as the fiery aura engulfed his fists. These beautiful crimson flames blasted its way towards Elijah and Sealy although Nose Ring's partner barely avoided the attack. Elijah pulled the ground apart and raised it around him to protect him from the flames. Once the flames all dissipated he broke the ground up into small rocks and shot them out in all directions. Sealy appeared before Elijah and enhanced his fists as he entered in close combat with Elijah. Elijah narrowly avoided each attack, but each punch was getting faster and faster. As the fight got closer to the city and Elijah had more objects to fight with he pulled the bricks of one of the ruined homes as a red brick came in between Sealy's attack and Elijah's face saving him from another attack. After the brick protected him, Elijah jumped back and used more of the bricks to block Sealy from following him. Meanwhile Nose Ring's eyes glowed the fiery crimson red again as he blasted yet another barrage of flames towards Elijah, this one larger than the one before. Elijah used the bricks to defend from the flames like before, but was unable to last through the whole blast. Mere moments before the bricks were destroyed by the flames, Elijah jumped out of the way and narrowly avoided getting burned. While on the ground, Sealy came from the sky with a fierce barrage of punches, which Elijah tried to avoid by pushing his body off to the side and narrowly missing the force of Sealy's attack. As a counterattack, Elijah flung more of the red bricks into Sealy's face, but Nose Ring blasted the bricks with his crimson flames. Nose Ring ended up lighting the bricks on fire as Sealy narrowly jumped out of the way.
"What was that Nose Ring!" Sealy snapped at his partner, "You're supposed to be helping me!"
Nose Ring sighed as he said, "In retrospect, it wasn't that smart, but it doesn't matter now since we basically have this guy down! And don't call me Nose Ring!"
The two Sentients towered over Elijah who was on the ground, panting for air. Elijah tirelessly said to hismelf as a last stitch effort, "Fine… Just a little more power."
