“By making me as part of your pack, you mean that by taking me forcefully right?” I said sarcastically, and his hands instantly clenched and almost tried to grab me but he held still. “You’re getting too gutsy.” He commented. What my mouth said the next came out unexpectedly. “No, you’re getting too egotistical. I get that you and your twin are having a competition on who could get me first but you are too full of yourselves to even think that I would let one of you get to me.” I huffed, letting it all out. “No, you’re getting too egotistical. I get that you and your twin are having a competition on who could get me first but you are too full of yourselves to even think that I would let one of you get to me.” I huffed, letting it all out. I mean I kind of told him about that but it is getting out of hand. Of course, I had a plan on making them lose their mind and let them get crazy to me. “Barging in my room will not even make any difference and make me hate you more.” He was quiet and I made sure to make him see the expression I have in my eyes. “Getting bratty will not make you any better, rogue.” His words came out like a bullet and spit like venom. Of course. It was harsh, we both knew it as he stopped and watched me carefully. The calm expression I had on my face vanished and I stared at him deadpan, “Oh, calling names now, monster?” I quickly turned my back on him, not even bothering to have a look at him, and slammed the door shut. I admit that it was hurtful, hearing it coming from him was already expected but I just didn’t want to learn his true side. I also know that he hates hearing it. Hearing the word monster must have struck him the most and hurt him, but not as bad as the word rogue. It’s the truth, but I don’t want to hear it like an insult. I ignored the knock after and a minute passed before he finally left the door. Good. I hope I won’t see him again. I didn’t bother going out of my room for the whole day, not until Alpha Zef called me out for a date yet I refused. “I am not in the mood for you to mess. With, Alpha Zef. Please, not now.” I said, lying a bit. I mean my body is strong and could even withstand any rain and calamities due to being immune to my whole life being in the woods yet my heart feels heavy. Also, I do not want to face Alpha Zef, Kai’s. Twin and who looks exactly like him. I could hear Alpha Zef’s deep sigh, “I won’t leave until you get out and show me your face.” I decided to keep quiet. “Come on, Arya. I had a bad day too as one of our pack members has been missing, and Kai is not helping me.” He admitted, “That twin of mine is alpha too yet disregards his duties. He should have just been my beta.” Zef said. “Did something happen while I was away? I heard you did not even get out of your room the whole day.” I stayed still, closing my eyes as I let him continue talking to himself. When he was sure that I won’t even utter a single word, he gave up and left the vicinity. And when the night reached, I opened the door to see a figure waiting by the door. I squinted my eyes against the darkness and the lights turned off... “Alpha Kai?” I called out the first name that appeared in my brain, making sure it was him yet I couldn’t feel his presence and smell. No, this is not Alpha Kai’s smell. Something is weird. At this time in the night, this pack is the most active yet no one is in sight, not even the loud laughs of the patrol guards outside. Footsteps echoed and my ears perked up at the sound, hyper-alert now. I felt a sharp claw reaching my arm and harshly grabbing me. I could smell a faint scent of Alpha Kai near me and when I turned, I saw him standing there, his back facing me. I snorted, so he came to apologize to me, did he? “Alpha Kai? What are you doing there?” I asked and suddenly realized it, “So you’re saying sorry to me now?” The figure slowly turned against the darkness and I was met with red cold eyes, glaring at me. Its fangs have already been up and transformed into a big black wolf. His tongue was displayed out and panting heavily, staring at me like a predator to prey. I sucked in a deep breath. I thought it was Alpha Kai as I could smell his scent yet seeing him now, he looked…different. He howled at me and I stepped back. I looked at the full moon in view and stopped. I wanted to transform but before I could even do that, a movement behind me appeared. “Stay back.” A loud voice set me apart, and a pair of big hands pulled me to the side. Alpha Zef looked at me, “Itzy? What are you doing outside? I mind linked everyone to stay out of sight.” I blinked, not remembering that I received any warning. “What? What is happening?” “There is no time to explain.” He then turned to a beautiful she-wolf and pushed me to her, “Amari, take my mate to the side. Make sure to protect her or I’ll kill you.” The she-wolf nodded and grabbed me, “Just tell me!” “See him? That is the problem. Now if you want to chitchat and get attacked, leave. I’ll get him in control.” He said as Amari grabbed me to the side.
“I won’t ever belong to alphas like you!” I said as they replied, “You can’t change fate. Our destiny are tied together. You have nowhere to go.”
