“Are you serious, Sophie? This is the land you chose for me”, said Han deadpanned as he arrived at the location.
[Affirmative Host. This location fits your requirements perfectly. The ocean is 5 minutes away from here.]
“But how am I supposed to build anything here!”, said Han looking at the enormous number of trees.
[The Host need not worry the system is building the clinic for the Host. The trees are not a problem].
Han calmed down upon hearing this and became excited. Excluding the trees, there was no problem with this location even though it was a forest, and it was pretty isolated, but he wanted this sort of a location. Han dreamed of having peace, unlike the city hospital he used to work in his previous life which was very chaotic.
“System, I choose this location”, declared Han. ‘There’s no going back now’, he thought fisting his hands in determination.
[Are you sure, Host]
“Yes”, said Han determined.
Suddenly, the ground began to shake aggressively making Han fall to the ground. “W-what’s happening?”, he said surprised.
Cracks began forming on the ground as a 3-story timber and white-colored building rose from the ground.
The building was a 3-story which had a timber and white mixed-colored exterior. There was 1 window on the 2nd floor. The entrance was a white colored double door with glass handles. There was a street created In front of the building for easy access. Flowers appeared next to the new street brightening the entrance.
“Oh My God!”, said Han as he looked at the magnificent building before him. “Is this mine?”, he questioned himself feeling unreal.
[You have completed the quest].
[You have been given rewards].
[You have leveled up.]
[You have obtained 1 star and 10 Stat Points].
Seeing the multiple blue screens appearing In front of him, Han clenched his hands in excitement he couldn’t wait to start his journey and start treating patients in this world.
“Let’s go in for now”, said Han as he opened the door.
The 1st thing Han saw as he entered was a white marble table beside the stairs. On the right side of the spacious room were 10 blue seats lined up. Several paintings were hung on the wall. Han was fascinated by each painting which was a beautiful landscape. There was also a diagram about human anatomy posted on the wall.
Han smiled as he looked at the human anatomy poster. He felt at home as he touched it. “Is this the waiting room/reception, Sophie”, he asked.
[Affirmative].
Han nodded. “This is awesome, Thank you”, he said brightly smiling. “Now let’s go upstairs and see how it is”, he said curiously.
[Before going upstairs, the Host must name the clinic].
Han paused as he heard Sophie. He went into deep thought regarding this matter since this affected the future development of this clinic.
After a few minutes. “I got it!”, said Han excitedly.
[What is it, Host].
“Miracle Clinic”, said Han proudly. “It’s a good name isn’t it, Sophie”, he asked.
[No comment, Host. Do you still wish to proceed with this name?].
“Yes”, said Han.
[As you wish].
Suddenly behind the receptionist’s table letters appeared. ‘Miracle Clinic’, was written in big and bright silver font. Unknown to Han, outside above the door, the font magically appeared as well.
“Looking at the name reminds me of my previous life”, said Han. “Anyways, let’s go upstairs now”, he said as he climbed the white floating stairs beside the reception.
As Han entered the 2nd floor, he saw 2 hospital beds with clean blue sheets on them. There were a few tables and also an adjustable reclining white chair. Han also noticed 2 different doors on the side. He tried opening them, but they wouldn’t budge. In one corner there was also a sitting area with different kinds of novels to entertain the families of the patients.
Han sat on the couch in the sitting corner and checked the few novels that were on the bookcase beside him. “I don’t think I have read any of these novels before. It seems like they are from this world and not from my original world”, he said analyzing each novel.
Han was instantly worried as he looked around the 2nd floor. “Don’t you think the beds are fewer what if the patients have to be monitored and have to stay the night?”, he said looking at the 2 beds in the room.
[The Host’s Rank is too low for the system to provide the Host with more beds].
“What do you mean by the rank”, Han asked confused.
[Your Rank provides you with more authority].
“How do I raise my Job Rank”, asked Han curiously.
[Job Rank can be raised when the Host levels up your medical skills proficiency. At least when the Host reaches 25% your rank will be upgraded].
“So, How do I level up my proficiency?”, said Han curiously. 'I'm interested in raising it anyways since all the knowledge from my previous life in general medicine was only 4%. I need to learn more', he thought seriously.
[By treating patients].
Han sighed as he rubbed his head frustratingly. 'This makes me want to open the clinic now...Patience is the key', he thought.
“Sophie, I’m curious about something. What happens if I want to use something like an Ultrasound or MRI but in this world, there are probably no modern machines”, asked Han curiously.
[Host’s authority is not high enough to answer that. I hope the Host level’s up, but I can tell you that the answer is in the system shop which will open when the Host reaches level 10].
“Why do I have to level up to do anything”, Han sighed frustratingly. “When do I open up the clinic officially, Sophie?”, he asked hurriedly.
[I recommend before opening the Clinic the Host opens the beginner package].
“What? I have a beginner package!”, Han stood up shocked at this news. ‘This is unexpected, I hope there’s something useful in it because usually in games it helps the players a lot’.
“Open it”, said Han excitedly.
[Opening Beginner Package…]
[You have received ‘Unlimited Antibiotics’]
[You have received ‘Unlimited Anesthesia’]
[You have received a Thermometer]
[You have obtained a Scissor]
[You have obtained Unlimited Healing Ointment]
[You have obtained a Weighing scale]
[Your items have been placed on the 2nd floor of the Clinic].
Han was overwhelmed by the notifications. He never thought he would get such useful things in the starting. These items would assist him while treating patients and they would also be beneficial to the Clinic.
Han looked around the room trying to spot the items from the system. He saw 2 items appearing on the table beside the reclining chair. The 2 items were a Scissor and a Thermometer. He also saw a black-colored weighing scale appear on the floor beside the entrance.
“Why don’t I see the medicines I received from the system, Sophie”, Han asked nervously because that was the reward he was looking forward to. Especially since the medicine is unlimited.
[Host, the medicine has been placed inside the door that says, ‘Medications & Instruments’]
Han immediately looked at the 2 doors he couldn’t open before. Now one of the doors had ‘Medications & Instruments’ written on it which indeed surprised him.
Han opened the glass door and found the whole room inside to be filled with shelves but what was peculiar about the room was that only 7 baskets were on the shelves otherwise the other shelves were empty.
Han walked closer to the baskets and saw that one basket was labeled ‘Anesthesia’, which had white-colored vials in it. The other was labeled ‘Penicillin’, which had white-colored oval tablets in them. Another was labeled ‘Cephalosporins’, which had greyish-colored vials in it. Another basket was labeled ‘Tetracycline’, which had oval tablets half yellow and half orange colored. Another basket was labeled, ‘Injections’, which had several sealed injections in them. Another basket was labeled ‘Healing Ointment’, which had blue colored tube’s in it. Another basket which was labeled ‘Surgery Instruments’, had all kinds of surgery equipment in it, from Retractors to Forceps or Clamps or Sutures.
Han’s eyes sparkled as he looked at the different baskets of medicines. “I can’t believe the system would give me the 3 main antibiotics. I’m so excited I can do so much with these”, he said drooling. “Also, these injections are handy and the Anesthesia also will come in use often if I end up doing surgeries”, he said excitedly as he analyzed the medicine. “But what is this Healing ointment”, he said looking at the blue tube in his hand cluelessly.
[Healing Ointment- A Cream which can instantly cure cuts and scrapes].
“W-what?”, said Han shocked as he heard Sophie’s explanation. ‘This type of Ointment was non-existent in the 21st century, meaning it has mana mixed in it. It’s a precious medicine’.
“I can’t believe the system gave me Surgical instruments; I feel like bowing down to you right now. These things are very precious to me”, said Han looking at the surgical instruments as he teared up.
“But are these unlimited or not, Sophie because I can count them right now”, said Han looking into the baskets.
[Don’t worry Host, the baskets will get full the second the medicine is finished].
This calmed Han down; he was stoked to have unlimited medications and instruments because it will help the clinic a lot since he won’t have to waste money trying to make the medicines.
“Sophie, I have a question why are items that I didn’t receive from the beginner package in this room”, said Han curiously. ‘Not that I am complaining about the extra items’.
[Host, before you even opened the beginner package these items were already in their places].
Han nodded and walked out of the room and wondered something, “Sophie, Is this building secure do I need to worry about burglars or murderers”.
[The Building is secured with a Tier 10 Array so the Host shouldn’t worry].
“Though I don’t know how powerful the Tier 10 Array is I feel assured”, said Han. “Anyways, I need to reach Level 10 Immediately which is why tomorrow I’m going to open the clinic officially, but I think I’m forgetting something…”.
A few minutes later, Han realized something. “Where am I going to sleep today?”, but he failed to realize that there was still the 3rd floor that he hadn't visited.
