Edit to add: oh boy I've read this a few times now and it hits so close to home. I'm coming up on a tough anniversary too, just like Jamie, and this story has helped me with my grief so much. I never expected to lose my best friend, either, and I relate to Jamie and Ralph's feelings. You know they wouldn't want you to be sad, but it's hard not to be. Especially when it's sudden and unexpected. Anyway, I'm rambling, but just know that the way this story represents grief is really important to me.
